So I was looking at the website today and I noticed a couple of things in the descriptions of the stories.

Hello Stupid

TLITE

Amusing, but very confusing for someone not acquainted with our community's little inside jokes.

With Trust

Nelson meets a painter.

Ummm yeah. No doubt this will have the readers racing in.

I was thinking perhaps we could suggest an improvement for Dom since he's obviously busy and struggling to get his stories written amongst his other commitments.

Well, Stupid me. When I joined GA and discovered Dom's stories, I read the discription or synopsis of all of them before choosing which to read first. Somehow, I skipped the discription of ITFB( because there was not one) and began reading the prologue. Fascinated, I kept on reading. It wasn't until chapter 25 that I discovered that it was a sequel to TLW( that was the only description for ITFB).

Well, it turned out to be a blessing and a curse. Having read ITFB first, I had a sympathetic opinion of Dennis while reading the TLW. I also remembered being so frustrated by Owen and Aiden's predicament in ITFB. I thought they were an overly-sensitive, over-analytical and mushy gay couple. I couldn't understand why they were like that. Had I read TLW first, I would have been in love with Owen and Aiden like the rest of you guys. Well, I like them now but I still harbor some unpleasant feeling towards them (and I feel bad about it, but I guess that's the curse). Hey, but I love Dennis and Travis.

ITFB is still my favorite Dom story. Besides being my favorite because it was the first one I read, I also think it is Dom's finest work as a writer. The way he portrayed the dynamics of travis and Dennis' relationship is mind-blowing. I loved how he got into their heads and enabled us to see their motivations. That Dom choose to use the 3rd person POV added to the appeal.

It took me a while to finally start reading WT. I was not encouraged by the description. I wasn't even sure I liked the name Nelson. Well forget that now. It is now my other favorite.

But yes, I think there should be a better description of each story in Dom's homepage so that a Newbie would be better informed on these wonderful stories.

It also took me a long time to read WT as I was put off by the name Nelson (kept thinking of the simpsons character:P) I also thought that the description of HS (TLITE) was just the word title written by someone dyslexic. Both of these stories are brilliant and do need a better description, but I think that ITFB gets away with it as anyone who has read TLW would not need any more information then that it is a continuation of that story.

I do however think that 'the other side of me' needs a huge red flashing warning sign saying that this story is depressing and does not have a happy ending :(

Agreed. I know it's stupid but I get really put off by unattractive names. Nels works though, sounds much less formal and it's kinda cute.

Good Thinking!

Here are the descriptions for the other stories. Maybe someone from here can suggest something similar for WT & HS.

The Lo(n)g Way (TLW)

After tragedy strikes at home and he loses a special friend, is betrayed by someone he trusts and his father discovers hes gay, Owen Dovan moves in with the brothers he hasn't seen in two years. Even in a loving environment things aren't always easy. This is a story about making friends, losing them, learning to trust again and dealing with everything in between.

The Ordinary Us (TOU)

This is the story of seventeen-year-old Quinn Moore. He has a loving family, good friends and a girlfriend he's deemed as perfect. Quinn's also gay, not that he's about to admit it. He likes things just the way they are, thank you. But then he meets Jude Landon, and everything in Quinn's comfortable world is turned upside down.

Dessert Dropping (DD)

Rory's mom just died and soon after the funeral his life is turned upside down when he finds out that his mom has contacted the father that he never knew. Now, he's forced to live in the desert with a family he doesn't know, a father he doesn't want to know, and to top it all off, Rory's gay and no longer has anyone to confide in. Friends will be made and the meaning of family will be found as Rory discovers that everything isn't so bad in the desert.

The Other Side of Me (TOSOM)

Stuck in the-middle-of-nowhere Arkansas with his mom and his sister, Frank Seaberg wishes that he could return to his old life. When he meets his neighbors, Oliver and David Martin, he's just happy to have found some friends. But, when Frank begins to suspect that not all is well in the Martin house and begins to search for answers that no one wants him to know, he finds himself in the middle of a family feud that could test his patience, his morals, and ultimately place his own life and those he cares about in danger.

With Trust (WT)

Nelson meets a painter.

Nelson meets a cowardly painter.

Nelson falls for a painter who doesn't appear to be as hot for him as he is for him.

Nelson meets a painter. Can Love conquer a world of fears?

Yeah.... That's all I got, aside from mention that Nelson and crew need to go to AA meetings...

HS. Uhm... That might be a bit hard, considering we don't know where the story is going yet. Only thing I can think of is something like WT.

DD meets TOU. Can Luke and Taylor conquer their separate pasts and learn what it means to love?

Yeah, that's about it. I'm sure someone far more descriptive then myself can come up with something better. I'd rather give the reader some clues to what may lie inside and, in the case of HS, a little brief spoiler about who some of the characters are. The reader can find out the rest of the answers for themselves, right along with the rest of us.

Just finished, Desert Dropping,The Log Way and In the FishBowl, why is DomLuka not a famous published author. I loved those books. And after finishing The Log Way and ITFB,I wished I had friend like them. Wonderful stories.
