TetRefine Posted April 6, 2010 Posted April 6, 2010 So now that the 2010 season is under way, I thought it would be fun to see what is everyone's favorite team.
TetRefine Posted April 6, 2010 Author Posted April 6, 2010 Even though they suck, I grew up going to Shea Stadium and seeing all the 90's Mets greats playing. They are my 2nd favorite team.
Amelia Posted April 6, 2010 Posted April 6, 2010 For my wedding rehearsal my sister made me wear a Red Sox hat and my husband had to wear a Yankees hat. Its the only time I've EVER allowed that to happen. We get some pretty funny looks walking places, holding hands when I am wearing my Yanks stuff and he is in his Sox stuff. Our poor son won't know what to do and he will probably end up hating baseball! AND, I don't like the Mets, either!
Tim the Traveller Posted April 6, 2010 Posted April 6, 2010 New stadium. New contract for the best catcher/player in the league. GAME ON
Krista Posted April 6, 2010 Posted April 6, 2010 I'm a cincy girl.. even if they are average at best.. Can anyone say.. Joey Votto though.. shew.. reason enough to like them.
Kev de Cauchery Posted April 6, 2010 Posted April 6, 2010 Yankees, definitely. (If anyone ever saw my pic in the picture thread it'd be no brainer.) And.. the opening game sucks big time. Mi Jeet. And Gosh, all those Red Sox's!!
Adam Phillips Posted April 6, 2010 Posted April 6, 2010 I have to have two. One because it's local and I gotta be loyal--The Texas Rangers. A second, because it's pointless to pull for the Rangers ...so I gotta go with the Red Sox.
Tim the Traveller Posted April 6, 2010 Posted April 6, 2010 sooo... do I take it right that Red Sox and NY Yankees are the biggest rivals? :? I'm not for certain, Living in the upper-midwestern part of the USA for most of my life, But I think that the New York people do not like the Boston team and people from Boston do not like the New York team
Arpeggio Posted April 6, 2010 Posted April 6, 2010 I'm not for certain, Living in the upper-midwestern part of the USA for most of my life, But I think that the New York people do not like the Boston team and people from Boston do not like the New York team Yeah, that's about it. Try moving from Boston to New York and saying Red Sox rules. O_O
TetRefine Posted April 6, 2010 Author Posted April 6, 2010 sooo... do I take it right that Red Sox and NY Yankees are the biggest rivals? :? New York is to Boston what Russia is the Czechs. To put it in perspective.
TetRefine Posted April 19, 2010 Author Posted April 19, 2010 WHAT DOES A RED SOX FAN HAVE TO DO TO GET A WIN AROUND HERE?!?!?!?!
methodwriter85 Posted April 19, 2010 Posted April 19, 2010 You know what's funny? The Phillies don't really have any real, long-term, heated rivalry with any team. You would think we would gain a real enemy, being what Philadelphia sports team fans are like, but no.
Conner Posted April 19, 2010 Posted April 19, 2010 I'm a cincy girl.. even if they are average at best.. Can anyone say.. Joey Votto though.. shew.. reason enough to like them. Joey Votto is Canadian, eh!!! From Toronto.
Conner Posted April 19, 2010 Posted April 19, 2010 Speaking of Canadians, Jason Bay is also Canadian...not only that, he's from BC. Guess which team is missing Jason a whole bunch right now? Jason hit 36 HR's and 119 RBI's for this team in 2009. Jason is now with the Mets.
Conner Posted April 19, 2010 Posted April 19, 2010 Let's all sing the Barney song for the Boston Red Sox. "I love you. You love me. We're a happy family."
