Nicholas J. Covington Posted April 6, 2010 Posted April 6, 2010 I would like to challenge a better writer then me, who is also a fan of the Twilight series to write a series with an AU Ending Where Bella gives birth to EJ (Edward Jacob Cullen) Instead of Reneesme as in her dreams. Jacob Black still imprints on the child and becomes his buddy/brother until he is of age being quite protective, by the second chapter or after a prelude It could be 7 years latter and EJ will be Mentally and Physically an 17 y/o adult and we can begain to explore there relationship as well as any obstacles the couple may have. Perhaps some of the tribal elders do not like it or the Volturi may have heard of the pairing of a wolf and hybrid or may be interested in EJ's gifts. (Maybe even som MPreg however im not a huge fan of it). I would also like to hear what the other Cullen's are up to as well in this story. Also Perhaps Bella Get's EJ some Papers and Enrolls him in high school. As always Go TEAM JACOB! Nick Covington
Nephylim Posted April 6, 2010 Posted April 6, 2010 It would be very interesting to see a Twilight story that is actually well written... awesome challenge fellow member of Team Jacob
Nicholas J. Covington Posted April 6, 2010 Author Posted April 6, 2010 It would be very interesting to see a Twilight story that is actually well written... awesome challenge fellow member of Team Jacob Thanks, I just know I would never be able to do a story like this justice but have yet to find a good one out there in the world of fan fiction. I just got done listening to the entire saga on audiobook and want more. I did not like the vague ending at all. hopefully there will be more to this series. I would love to see a few books from Jacobs point of view. Go Team Jacob, Nick
Krista Posted April 6, 2010 Posted April 6, 2010 A "good" fanfic period would be a challenge at this point. All the ones I've read have sucked.. so its not like you have a lot of competition to write a "good" one. (I believe in you, btw) I think if you want to read a story that you really would like - I think you writing it yourself would be better... your vision for the story which you described - probably won't satisfy you when you're reading it from a different point of view?
John Doe Posted April 7, 2010 Posted April 7, 2010 I would do it, but in my past experiences I never finsih past the third chapter. When it's not my characters I lose interest in writing very fast. Plus some of you may not like my writing style. Haha. And James... silver bullets and stakes don't work against Meyer's version of Werepires.

You can MAKE the characters your own. You know Jacob very well and in fact he needs to be the only consistent character. You can bring in more that are purely your own. And as for not liking your style... there will always be people who won't like it... look at Meyer... there are those who love her and those who hate her (her work that is and metaphorically speaking of course) Same with even the greatest writers. Think how many people detest Shakespeare. Go on... do it... do it... I would read it for one. Twilight has been done. Hehe. Not in quite the same way though... awesome as it is. And there's no Jacob and neither vampires nor werewolves. Maybe if you wrote a few in ....
Krista Posted April 8, 2010 Posted April 8, 2010 The quickest way to lose readers if you're writing a slash fic or fanfic is to copy dialogue/scenes that the original author has written... isn't that plagiarism anyway? A lot of the stories I've read on Nifty are like that... and it just annoys me. If you want to do a fanfic, you're doing it because you have a character you like.. or you want to explore possibilities that maybe the author introduced and didn't delve into.. Maybe even something the author did wrong in your eyes or a plot twist you hated.. OR in your case specifically.. you thought Jacob got screwed.. Personally, I don't like your story idea though... the whole.. imprinting on a half-vamp baby is kind of ignorant.. especially since she wrote in all three books since the werewolves were introduced, just how badly they repulsed one another... wouldn't that mean that "Renesmee" or however that is spelled... would've repulsed/made Jacob instinctively fear her. Yeah.. I hated 'Breaking Dawn.'
Nephylim Posted April 8, 2010 Posted April 8, 2010 I think the idea was to begin the reconciliation of the two... vamps and weres. Not sure how she thinks that might happen given the history and natural hatred but hey... I disliked the whole series. (note I didn't say 'hate' )
Site Administrator Graeme Posted April 8, 2010 Site Administrator Posted April 8, 2010 Does anyone know the view of the original story author regarding fanfics? Some authors accept them, some have explicitly asked that they not be written, and some have allowed them only to be written under some conditions. What is the situation here?
Krista Posted April 8, 2010 Posted April 8, 2010 There are tons of Twilight Series fanfics, I don't think she minds... Fictionpress lists the authors that don't allow fanfics directly on their site and her name and her stories aren't on there. I wouldn't care if people wrote fanfics about my stories, I would take it as a form of expression or even flattery.

Yeah.. I hated 'Breaking Dawn.' The point of imprinting is that the wolf doesn't have a choice who they fall for. As we remember his original intent was to kill the infant until he set eyes on her. I think the idea was to begin the reconciliation of the two... vamps and weres. Not sure how she thinks that might happen given the history and natural hatred but hey... I disliked the whole series. (note I didn't say 'hate' ) Yes I do believe it was the plot point of the author to see the Vamp's and Wolves Reconcile, Specifically the VEGGIE Vamp's (Cullen's) as they are good people, and an Imprinted person is off limits/protected by the wolves as there death would hurt the spirit of the imprintee, there brother wolf. I only was dissatisfied with the ending as it was vague and unsatisfying been nice to see what happened next. And I would have liked to have seen Reneesme been born EJ. (Edward Jacob). And explore Jacob imprinting on a boy and see how he deals with that being previously straight.
JamesSavik Posted April 9, 2010 Posted April 9, 2010 Fine. Because my story is often confused with gay sparkly vampires, I'm changing its name to Childhood's End.
Nephylim Posted April 9, 2010 Posted April 9, 2010 Awww *hugs* If I was being compared to sparkly vampires I would change my name too
Krista Posted April 9, 2010 Posted April 9, 2010 Fine. Because my story is often confused with gay sparkly vampires, I'm changing its name to Childhood's End. Lol, don't change it. Just revel in the fact that your story is better.
KJames Posted April 10, 2010 Posted April 10, 2010 Fine. Because my story is often confused with gay sparkly vampires, I'm changing its name to Childhood's End. Already used by Arthur C. Clarke.
