Well....I know how much this story means to you....you can't let River and Silver not end up together.....that would just be wrong

 

The prospect of having to read more about Silver and Asher together doesn't make that happy lol. But I hope we'll get to see more of Ariel too.

 

It just kind of sucks that after all the times River told and showed Silver how much he loves him..that Silver would so easily believe he doesn't anymore...

Sorry but there is going to be a LOT more of Asher, whom I actually completely fell in love with... although not as much as Silver.

 

River was a twat, although he had some justification for some of it. He made bad choices and has to live with the consequences... same as the rest of us. It doesn't matter how much love and care you invest in a person you don't own them and if you screw up like River did you can't expect that person to stay in a relationship that doesn't make them happy any more.

 

It's not entirely River's fault but it is at least 90% because he didn't communicate. It would be unfair to have expected Silver to do it because he simply didn't have the relationship experience to know how these things go. To SIlver everything is black and white... River loved him now he doesn't. He doesn't have the ability to analyse that and to look deeper into motivations and possible misunderstandings. How can he talk to River about something he doesn/t understand?

 

River will be back. I haven't abandoned him and he and Silver will meet again. What will happen when they do... well that's not something I am going to talk about but I will say that whatever happens River is going to have to deal with Asher and Silver's feelings for him.

Now woah there Silver he seems to be movin forward and has realised something about himself. This is all good. I have to agree River dropped a ball or 3 on this one but i am hopin those 2 make it in the end, if not river does only have himself to blame although Silver does need to deal with the River issue once and for all otherwise even with Asher hes gonna bealways lookin back

The plot thickens, Silver is actually growing now hes moving forward and creating himself again which he didnt seem to be doing with River.

 

I still want him n River to get back though but I cant deny Asher is good for him in the here and now. I just wish we had some insight into how River is doing. I can imagine him tearing up an down streets searching everywhere for Silver realising what an idiot he has been.

Question. As Silver's reputation grows, isn't there a chance that a 'nightmare' from the past will come a-knockin'? Or have we totally written off those characters?

 

I love it that Asher is basically forcing Silver to face his demons. I'm not discounting all the work that River has done, I'm just happy that Asher is following up with it.

 

I kinda got spoiled catching up with this--now I have to sit back and wait for the 'dance of the millennium' >

Thank you. We have a long way to go. There will be laughter and tears and the explosive end of Silver's slavery once and for all. That's not the only think that will end once and for all and that makes me sad.

 

But there is no room for sadness in the wonderful transformation. Silver is not the same person any more and just wait until you see the true strength there is behind that beautiful, innocent, face.

Neph, after reading your comments on Riley's blog I started reading Enigma which sucked me right into a frenetic two day reading. I really thought it was powerful and was stunningly sucked in. In part do to some similar boundary blurring in my life(two foster kids). Enigma two is harder for me as I was both the social SS and a foster parent. I must say in all my experience I never had a client as ill prepared for what was happening as River. So that was my worst issue. I can't wait for more even though I fear, as is often the case in life, things may not go the way i would choose. Thanks for your work. I am really enjoying this and your other stories. Pax.

Yeah, with regard to Social Services River was as lost as Silver. Things seldom go as we would expect or want, with life or with my stories Sometimes for the better and sometimes for the worse.

Anyway that aside seems Silvers still having his ups and downs. He needs to see River sooner rather than lter for his own piece of mind and sanity id say. Poor thing cant keep going as he is as it will just get worse. Still lovin it tho Nephy you are takin us on a hell of a ride here and I titally am not sure what your gonna do or what I want you to Keep it up

I think you will like this one, especially those of you who have been wondering what the hell is going to happen with River.

Silver doesn't stay with Asher. In this chapter you will note that SIlver has already decided to go back to River and he will do that. What happens when he does, though I am not going to say

ALTHOUGH I was fully expecting a formal dance in this chapter-I SUPPOSE that I can wait.

 

I love that David gave his posthumous 'blessing' on, well, what I took to be Matt and Asher's developing relationship.

 

Tony is scaring the hell out of me and Ariel is crying *happy-tears*. And to top it off, Ariel is going to select the dancing outfits! This is so close to overload for me.

 

Is it possible that Silver and Ariel have met in the past? Because I get a feeling.....

 

So we come to this, finally. River seems to be sliding down the slippery slope of memory. I pray this is just an oversight on someone's part.

 

Finally, Nephy, I must tell you that this was a very well-rounded chapter, in that we touched on most everyone.

I loved that one. I think Silver is going to be fine now he seems to be gaining strength and finding himself.

 

He and Asher are getting closer in some ways and I get the impression if Silver hadnt met River they would have made a great couple. It seems like we are getting to the final scenes of the story now, everything seems to be leading upto it, Silvers rediscovered who he is and is learning how to love, how to build friendships and who he is. Now he just needs to survive the next few days work out exactly what he wants and go make it happen

 

I really cant wait to see where you take us next tho Nephy

I don't want to up expectations too much because it is a germinating thought right now but I am thinking of doing and Enigma III which focusses on Ben with his teenage tantrums. I was thinking that Ariel might play a larger part in that one... kind of bringing some perspective into his life and finding love, because I kind of felt bad that he didn't in this one.(NOT with Ben who is stright and that is part of the problem)
