Krista Posted December 6, 2014 Posted December 6, 2014 I'm a country music girl and there are a lot of tear inducing songs... Vince Gill's - Go Rest High is one that used to get to me.. mostly because about every funeral around here has it played... Joey and Rory have a sad song about coping with the loss of a partner. Tim McGraw's song, "If You're Reading This" is a sad song as well. I mostly listen to Pop/Rock music to get a nice beat or faster upbeat feel. When I want to get ideas on writing and scenes and such, I go to country. 2
TetRefine Posted December 6, 2014 Posted December 6, 2014 I wouldn't say it brings me to tears, but it definitely puts me in a depressed/dark mood. 1
Guest daybreak.watcher Posted December 7, 2014 Posted December 7, 2014 For me, whether a song brings me to tears tends to depend on the state of my life at the time ... it's quite a reactive phenomenon. So, at the moment ... Ben Rector - Ready For Change: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J6Qnv_EGDXs Marlisa - Stand By You: www.youtube.com/watch?v=x-2YqgIxoF8
jdmotion Posted December 10, 2014 Posted December 10, 2014 I wouldn't say it brings me to tears, but it definitely puts me in a depressed/dark mood. http://youtu.be/MYSVMgRr6pw The video for this one makes me sad. However his voice is amazing.
PrivateTim Posted December 15, 2014 Posted December 15, 2014 Released in 1943 with thoughts of those who could not be home because they were off fighting an awful war. I cry when I think of so many who never did come home for Christmas ever again and the broken hearts that left behind. 3
