Simple Plan's 'Untitled'... Gosh it makes me sad

Simple Plan is just fantastic. "Welcome to my Life" is also another great one of theirs.

Here's the story behind Tears in Heaven.  I'll warn you, it's a real tearjerker.

I'm a country music girl and there are a lot of tear inducing songs...

Vince Gill's - Go Rest High is one that used to get to me.. mostly because about every funeral around here has it played...

Joey and Rory have a sad song about coping with the loss of a partner.

Tim McGraw's song, "If You're Reading This" is a sad song as well.

I mostly listen to Pop/Rock music to get a nice beat or faster upbeat feel. When I want to get ideas on writing and scenes and such, I go to country. :)

Released in 1943 with thoughts of those who could not be home because they were off fighting an awful war.

I cry when I think of so many who never did come home for Christmas ever again and the broken hearts that left behind.

There's too many to list.... what can I say, I'm emotive.... She did a translated version on it on her "One Heart" album.

Rush - Nobody's Hero

I knew he was different in his sexuality
I went to his parties as a straight minority
It never seemed a threat to my masculinity
He only introduced me to a wider reality
As the years went by, we drifted apart
When I heard that he was gone
I felt a shadow cross my heart

But he's nobody's hero
Saves a drowning child
Cures a wasting disease
Hero...lands the crippled airplane
Solves great mysteries
Hero...not the handsome actor
Who plays a hero's role
Hero...not the glamour girl
Who'd love to sell her soul
If anybody's buying
Nobody's hero

I didn't know the girl, but I knew her family
All their lives were shattered in a nightmare of brutality
They try to carry on, try to bear the agony
Try to hold some faith in the goodness of humanity
As the years went by, we drifted apart
When I heard that she was gone
I felt a shadow cross my heart

But she's nobody's hero
Is the voice of reason against the howling mob
Hero...is the pride of purpose
In the unrewarding job
Hero...not the champion player
Who plays the perfect game
Hero...not the glamour boy
Who loves to sell his name
Everybody's buying
Nobody's hero

As the years went by, we drifted apart
When I heard that you were gone
I felt a shadow cross my heart

But he's nobody's hero
Saves a drowning child
Cures a wasting disease
Hero...lands the crippled airplane
Solves great mysteries
Hero...not the handsome actor
Who plays a hero's role
Hero...not the glamour girl
Who'd love to sell her soul
If anybody's buying
Nobody's hero

Aww James, you totally made me tear up. Shew.

One song that I actually love to listen to that is also a bit sad, is Mindy Smith's One Moment More.

Bright Eyes by Mike Batt performed by Art Garfunkel

This one just kills me.

This one too since it reminds me of a friend who died of AIDS.

Then here I am in the waiting room....waiting....and then wishing I'd never heard those words and that I could have waited a little longer....like forever maybe.

If you are gay and you grew up in the 80s as a teen this was your theme song....not 'Relax' or 'Karma Chameleon' whatever....
