Umm, no thanks, not my scene. 

 

What I REALLY need is to actually get my days off free and not get called in on some emergency!  Hard to finish shopping if I am covering for people out sick, walking sick horses or finding enough hay for 40 horses because a truck broke down and my usual supplier has none to give me.

Almost went up for the Pinstripe Bowl but decided to stay home since both brothers and the nieces and nephews are coming down this weekend. It was tempting though, I would have had a certain UES apartment to myself, the residents are spending the Holidays in Tokyo.

Pinstripe Bowl = College football game on 12/27 at Yankee Stadium featuring the University of Miami this year.

 

Def met my friends in NYC who I usually stay with. They'll be in Tokyo visiting their son who's there teaching English so they offered me their apartment if I decided to go up for the game.

 

I have 2 brothers. One lives in Brooklyn and the other one in Chicago. They'll both be in South Florida this week.

 

EDIT - my friends' apartment happens to be in the same building CJ and Owen have theirs. LOL

I usually don’t eat much lunch before dinners like this, but we’ll have Chinese food left over from Christmas Eve, so I think I’ll have a plateful. As for what we’ll have for dinner, I don’t have a clue. Really not looking forward to this. *sigh*

Maybe you’ll be pleasantly surprised? I actually eat quite a bit of vegan food, and have since I was a kid. My mum’s Russian orthodox, so for lent we basically ate vegan food when I was growing up, as well as Wednesdays and Fridays most weeks. There’s a lot of good stuff out there now, new and better meat replacements (you’re really not restricted to tofu), non-dairy options that actually do the same stuff dairy does... It might be nice.
