AC wants to read it all before i post the first chapter.. i should get the final two chapters to him. I have so many ideas .. so much i want to do. Three things right now.. the healer, the chased boy (on a midnight train going anywhere), and the chewing... maybe they all belong together... maybe..

he should get a lawyer ... i've never such bad advice or saying its your gall bladder without a scan.  my doc said to me while i waited for surgery to get mine removed.. if you turn yellow get to the emergency asap.. not here.. emergency .. what are they doing there???   gods

I SOOOOO wanted to have a Yule fire last night! Picked up the fire wood, cleaned the leaves out of the fire pit, got appropriate munchies, broke the lawn furniture out of winter storage.  Then the rain started, the flood warnings were posted, and the peeps coming called and cancelled.  Put the lawn furniture back under cover and went to bed early!

 

On a good note, I slept through the night for the first time in weeks!  Finished my christmas shopping yesterday, and am now getting ready for the worst part of the holiday season, the pre-guests grocery trip!

I would like to share a little story from yesterday. Michael and i were in the LCBO (Liquor Control Board of Ontario) store yesterday buying wine and booze for Christmas. We were standing in line and i was just looking around at the little mini's they have of all sorts of spirits while i waited. And i could hear the guy on the cash, coughing and clearing his throat. I couldn't really see him.

 

Finally i could a bit, and i hear his throat clearing barks and see him a bit now, rhythmic shoulder and head jerks. He'd speak but his speech was interrupted by short coughs and grunts: Tourette Syndrome.

 

I looked at the people in the line in front of me. I watched them, interested in their reaction to him. i was so happy to see nothing. They just talked with him, answered his questions, chatted about whatever. They paid and wished him Merry Christmas, and he them.

 

i wondered what it was like to know you were gonna be out there in public daily ... knowing people would look stare. even when you know it's hard not to. Can't be an easy thing.

 

He was very nice looking... wonderful grey-blue eyes. Michael went to get a box to pack our stuff in, they chatted about height...and whether all our purchases would fit in the box.. they did!

 

it made me stop and think how good people can be.  gave my flagging Christmas spirit a lift ..
