Backwoods Boy Posted November 10, 2018 Posted November 10, 2018 The weather has finally turned "normal" here meaning it has been down to nearly freezing at night and not making it to 50º F during the day. I gotta get the lawn mowed quickly for the last time before it gets covered with snow. 2 2

Got my foot stuck in a particularly soft mudhole in a field yesterday. When I tried to pull out I lost my balance and hit face first in the mud. Least it was a soft landing, though I will not tell you what was mixed in with the mud. Lets just say I spent my lunch break driving home for a shower! 2 2

John M. McRae's however: "In Flanders fields the poppies blow Between the crosses, row on row, That mark our place; and in the sky The larks, still bravely singing, fly Scarce heard amid the guns below. "We are the Dead. Short days ago We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow, Loved and were loved, and now we lie In Flanders fields. "Take up our quarrel with the foe: To you from failing hands we throw The torch; be yours to hold it high. If ye break faith with us who die We shall not sleep, though poppies grow In Flanders fields." 4
