Thorn Wilde Posted February 24, 2019 Posted February 24, 2019 My turn. Should have been my turn hours ago, it's 4 am, lol! Goodnight, everyone. 3
Thorn Wilde Posted February 24, 2019 Posted February 24, 2019 (edited) Morning, DiC! Happy Sunday! Misty out there today. So weird sitting in the living room without all of flatmate's stuff here... Most of the furniture's mine or was here when we moved in, but it still feels kind of empty. She's dropping by later today to clean and give me back my tuna, lol! Popular Post Mikiesboy Posted February 24, 2019 Author Popular Post Posted February 24, 2019 sequester verb | sih-KWESS-ter Definition 1 : to set apart : segregate 2 : to seize by authority of a writ Sequester first appeared in English in the 14th century. The word derives from Latin sequestrare ("to hand over to a trustee") and ultimately from secus ("beside," "otherwise"), which is akin to Latin sequi ("to follow"). In this relationship, we can trace links to words such as sequel, sequence, consequence, and subsequent, all of which convey a meaning of one thing following another. These days, we most frequently hear sequester used in legal contexts, as juries are sometimes sequestered for the safety of their members or to prevent the influence of outside sources on a verdict. In a different sense, it is possible to sequester property in certain legal situations. 1 5
Popular Post Mikiesboy Posted February 24, 2019 Author Popular Post Posted February 24, 2019 Some of you know i work for a bank. Some you have been through the unpleasantness of having fraud on your account. While we are no longer told the source of fraud on individual's accounts when it happens, i do know for a fact this is how it most often happens. This and ATMs that are in quieter places or ones that are not belonging to a bank. You need to really watch. Never give your credit card to anyone to scan for you... we say, Never let go of it. You scan it or tap it yourself. All right enough of me blathering. All of this is for this article: Don't Use a Debit Card here. 3 3

Me: *opens cupboard, no tuna* Me: [to flatmate] Dude, that was my tuna! Flatmate: Oops! I'll find it. *goes through bags* Damn, it's in one of the boxes. I'll bring it back to you tomorrow. Would have been much more fun if she'd been all, 'What tuna? I didn't see any tuna. You sure you didn't imagine it? Maybe the cat took it?' And then I would have had to follow the clues and discreetly search through all the boxes until I found all four cans of it and confront her with it until she was all, 'Okay! I admit it! I stole the tuna!' And then she had to be taken away in handcuffs, as the tuna-thief that she is. 1 3

In all seriousness, though, she really is a nice person. She can be very kind, and I like her as a friend. She's just a shit flatmate, and I've been exhausted by it for some time. The girl she's moving in with now suffers from anxiety... I can't help but think that if she acts the same way with her as she did with me (by which I don't mean her compulsions and paranoia and all that stuff, I understand and can accept that; it's the way she'd use me as a free shrink, essentially), that one isn't gonna last either. 3

Know the feeling, dude. I feel kind of bad for my boyfriend. It's one of the scariest things about him moving in. What if he gets sick of me and my shit? But he loves me and wants to take care of me, and I take care of him, too. It's not like it's a one-way street. Same with you guys, right? I mean, different framework, but in the end that's what relationships are about, even when the balance of emotional labour shifts a bit one way or the other. Luckily, I discovered fraudulent activity right away. Only one transaction occurred. 5
