Just spoke with Mom, and no new cases overnight. However, how her friend, Lily, caught it is now 100% known. Seems before she had to go to the hospital for her essential procedure, don't know what it was, a Contract-Agency Nurse took care of her and was only at Mom's facility for a day or two. That contractor went on to two other facilities, and he has since tested positive for Covid-19, and patients he was in contact with have tested positive in the other facilities as well. So, it was a nurse that spread it. They have the National Guard going in to all three places to do cleaning and such, which is what FL has been doing since this started.

Must admit, I'm still worried about it, but I'm doing my best to stay in a good mood.

On the subject of food: One of the cousins got Starbucks the other day, and got me a slice of their Pumpkin Bread. I'm now trying to find a recipe for it, because that was damn good! Been wanting to do some baking something fierce the past few days.

Glad to hear they found the source of the virus, A. I like pumpkin loaf as well so I went looking for a recipe with Mr google. The following is for a moist bread and has a short prep time.

Glad they found the cause. That was the reason for lots of deaths here. Other than one home where they've had zero cases/deaths. Because the director said you can work at one place only. They hired another housekeeper and staff had PPE.  Hope your mom stays safe and healthy.  I hope Lily gets through it.

I shouldn’t be surprised by this point, but hearing bird song as it gets dark/is dark still gets me every time I hear it. It is a lovely sound, mind you, so maybe that’s why...

17 Quotes About Finding Inner Peace | SUCCESS  back to work... i will attempt to keep this in mind. Have a nice day.

i do hope it went OK xoxo
i started bingeing on Stargate, and Stargate SG1 today, started a new cross stitch project and watched a couple of seasons of a gritty British show with Phil today (it's not easy to watch)
very little housework or laundry was done
can someone tell me how 5 people who aren't regularly leaving the house can manage to make so much dirty laundry?
so now it's bedtime
good night Sirs
good night friends

I am convinced that dirty laundry quadruples every five hours if left unwashed

no idea about the laundry ... ours doesn't do that. Dishes are a constant thing - i suppose we could just stand at the counter and eat outta the pan. LOL

Because of the verbal abuse, threats of violence, and one incident involving a gun [yes, I typed that correctly] our city has changed the "masks are mandatory in open businesses" to the businesses discretion.

People are idiots. From Agent Kay in Men in Black:

Well, this bit if idiocy has now thrust our little town into the national news. <sigh>  Mayor was on MSNBC and other members of City Council and the Police Chief have had to have made statements about it.

Oh... Michael and i went for a walk ... it's very windy, but sunny and blue sky, chilly though. But i've not been outside for a week, so i was going no matter what. It felt like christmas or a trip. I was so excited to be going out. We met a friend on the way back with her dogs .. we said hi to them but didn't pet the pups (or her) but wow, it was exciting to talk to someone else!  And it turned out to be Christmas.. because work sent me a $50 gift card for groceries!  Which was very nice!

I hope you all have managed to have a good day!!

I just got back from a walk myself, so I know what you mean about being able to get out and about. Yes, it’s too bad we can’t interact with people and pooches (you just know they want to say “hi!”, but seeing the enjoyment experienced by all is a great pick me up.

The gift from work was a nice surprise.

Have a wonderful day DiCers!

Good morning DiCers!

I just witnessed a male cardinal feeding his mate sunflower seeds. He pecked around in the garden (there’s a little pile for them) then flew to his mate and they touched beaks (that’s what I could see from my vantage point). They both flew back to where he’d been, pecked around a bit then the beak manoeuvre happened again. How sweet is that, eh? I’m thinking that means she’s going to have some babies. :D

Something interesting to read ... Flexibility as a source of inner calm/peace:  https://mailchi.mp/alifeofproductivity/flexibility-as-a-source-of-inner-calm?e=dc93ce0d0f

you find the most fascinating reads. 💛 there are some really good things in here. when he mentions the flexibility, being able to adapt, i'm reminded of some autistic people & how regimented some of them are & how little changes bring on massive behaviour changes due to anxiety & i thought yeah, OMG yeah...

thanks so very much for sharing these things xoxo
