Hey, Xander, Dennis, Jordan, and Ash!           We have Mickey, the in-laws, Deirdre, her hubby, Grant, and Haley here. Mickey and the in-laws will be returning home for dinner, because Mickey's uncle and cousin will be joining them. Mickey's next-door neighbor will also be attending that gathering. He recently lost his dad (Black Friday, I think it was?), and his mom couldn't muster the effort to make Christmas happen, unfortunately. Mickey re-wrapped a couple of his presents for the kid to open.   

Remy and Rory are busy with their own family gatherings.

Wegman's went East of Syracuse...They opened one in the Boston suburb. 😀

I was so stuffed from brunch today, I couldn't be bothered to make dinner. Morgan and I just spent the last hour or so snuggling together on the sofa. No TV, no movies...not even any kissing or  . We just made small talk about plans for tomorrow, cuddling in each other's arms. I woke up way too early today, and I have to work tomorrow, sadly. I'm going to bed early, and so, good night, everyone!

Yeah... but not in New York state.  There's actually one scheduled to open in Westchester county in 2020, but that's the first one.

Thanks, Drew. Your nephew's presentation sounds interesting, I wonder where he got his information. How old is he? Did he find out we celebrate on Christmas Eve, and we walk around the Christmas tree singing xmas themed songs, before opening parcels. And that our word for Christmas (JUL) has nothing to do with Christ, but is an older pagan word ? And that we have invented a special Xmas dessert 'risalamande' which includes one whole almond among lost of chopped ones, and you win a gift if you get the whole almond?

Hope your dreams were happy. We skipped making dinner too. We had a nice breakfast of asparagus and crabmeat frittata with pumpernickel bagel.  In the afternoon we joined friends and neighbors at a nearby Bavarian gasthaus for lunch of schnitzel, spaetzle and red cabbage.

Christmas miracle! After over a week of hell and unsatisfying blood test results mom can have her shot of chimio this day! It was her Christmas wish.

Yup. He had some chicken and a raw egg with mushrooms for his "brunch". I also got him some grubs from a bait shop. Oh, and a red rubber ball to play with.

So yesterday I got up early because the brand of model horses I collect always releases a Christmas day special run.  In the past, it's always been released pretty early.. like 8 am EST.  So I was up well before that, refreshing the browser and keeping an eye out because they tend to sell out fairly quickly.  Well it wasn't posted at 8.. or 9... or 10... so I finally decided I'd get ready and get all the ingredients for brekkie and my dinner side dish and head to my mom's and wait there.  They finally released it at 11:00, when we were exchanging presents lol My mom is very understanding of my hobby.  She told me not to come over until it was released so I didn't miss out.  I was able to purchase it, though   

So for brekkie I made a bacon and brie frittata.  It was good, but unfortunately the bottom got overcooked for my taste.  My mom really liked it though.  My mom got me a new 2 piece luggage set and an emergency car kit.  I got her two gift cards since she never tells me she wants anything.  Then we headed to my aunt's for dinner and had steak, broccoli, mashed potatoes, and I brought loaded cauliflower. I didn't have any potatoes.  For dessert my mom made chocolate pie and mixed berry pie.  I brought a low carb snickerdoodle for me.  So it was a nice day, but I was glad to get back to the quiet of my house.  And now I'm at work today.  Sigh.  I hope everyone had a great day yesterday. That sounds like a nice day you had Val. So how many horses did you get? 

We were hosting Christmas lunch. There was smoked salmon, seafood, fois gras and ficelles picardes depending on the tastes. Then we had turkey, sauteed potatoes with grated cheese, green beans and mushrooms and for dessert a chocolate and a red fruits log. 

I got a red winter coat and a handbag from my parents, a big bag to store all my crochet and yarn stuff to carry around by my brother and money from the rest of the family. 

I also had a great surprise by my dad. He had signed the paperwork for a car for me. Remember the red manual car I was supposed to drive after the latest driving lessons I took this Autumn? Well it was a disaster. During the driving lessons I was okish cause I knew the instructor was there in case I'd messed up but alone... I'm was so stressed and almost had a panic attacking the 2x2 lanes road. I was scared to drive it without someone beside me to reassure and tell me what to do in case I'd messed up. So yeah my dad was not happy and disappointed. So the new deal is my brother is selling his old car, getting the red one we had bought for me and I'm getting a new automatic one: a Renault Captur. It's a SUV, bigger than my good old Clio, with lot of nice options (backwards alerts, speed regulator, touchscreen with GPS...). I'll have it on January 11th. Freedom I'm back!
