It will feature in next year's Reviews Revisited blog - unless I get any competing comments. Hint, hint. You're welcome. I appreciate the work and time the review team puts in to helping readers find stories, and the support it gives those authors. It's valuable work you guys do for all of us, readers and authors alike. 2 5

The decision applies to all schools and third-level institutions, and none will open tomorrow. It will also apply to other public facilities. Furthermore, all museums, galleries and tourism sites will shut. Mass gatherings of over 100 (indoor) and 500 (outdoor) are cancelled. All these measures will take effect from 6pm today until 29 March. The significant development comes as confirmed cases of the Covid-19 coronavirus in the Republic of Ireland now stands at 43. One person has died from the virus here so far." https://www.thejournal.ie/coronavirus-school-clsoure-5039700-Mar2020/ Interestingly this announcement was made by Taoiseach (Irish Prime Minister) Leo Varadkar whilst on a visit to the USA as part of the annual exodus of Government ministers to the USA to celebrate St. Patrick's Day (although fewer than usual have travelled this year, but this may be in part due to the fact that we currently only have a caretaker government following a recent general election). I also read in The Journal that President Trump is suspending all travel between the US and Europe for 30 days from tomorrow, but that this doesn't include the UK or Ireland. https://www.thejournal.ie/coronavirus-case-trinity-main-points-5043197-Mar2020/ G'day, Marty. The NBA has suspended their season. And it looks like The Saint Patrick's Day parade in New York is going to be cancelled. 4 1 2

I'd say more, but I might run foul of the No Politics rule here on GA... It'll be interesting to see if you manage to avoid the exponential growth we have seen in cases. From 35 confirmed Sunday morning to 652 today, and probably more. 3 6

However my sister sent me a picture of a deer that her neighbors had killed, skinned and then hung outside (because of the cold). So you get that too. 1 1 5 1

My sister says it's "redneck immunity ". There aren't any confirmed cases here yet, although there is one in Rochester now. It's just a matter of time before it reaches here. There are 216 confirmed cases in New York State. I'm not sure how many fatalities. Edited to add: Scratch that. 112 more cases since yesterday, so 328. Popular Post clochette Posted March 12, 2020 Popular Post Posted March 12, 2020 (edited) Holy 💩! The president just said all day cares, schools, and universities will be closed until further notice starting tomorrow! All not important surgeries will be move to later when the crisis will be over. Students in medical fields are invited to help in call centers, students in other fields are invited to offer their service to babysit kids so that the parents can work. 🤯🤯🤯 Edited March 12, 2020 by clochette 2 7
