It had been built in the 1930's and had at least four layers of wallpaper in most of the rooms. And what was even worse was the fact that in some of the rooms the previous owners had painted over the top layer with gloss paint! Absolute nightmare to even start removing! My plan with this house is not to re-paper any of the walls. Instead, once any damaged plaster has been repaired, I will paint them with matt emulsion. Fortunately, so far I've not come across any wall with more than two layers of wallpaper. Edited July 24, 2020 by Marty typos 3 2 1

My plan with this house is not to re-paper any of the walls. Instead, once any damaged plaster has been repaired, I will painting them with matt emulsion. We were able to distinguish seven layers of wallpaper. Thankfully they hadn't painted over it! Most of the walls are plaster, but one small section was drywall and had to be replaced. I will NEVER ever use wallpaper after going through that nightmare. For some reason, the dining room was the worst. The kitchen, bathroom, and upstairs hallway didn't have nearly as much to remove and was a much easier job. 4 2

South Georgia has such a stunning and surprising array of biodiversity that this near-Antarctic oasis is often referred to as "The Galapagos of the Poles." Interesting article on the BBC website: http://www.bbc.com/travel/story/20200720-an-abandoned-british-island-reclaimed-by-nature (Although the photograph above might excite our @Valkyrie, the article isn't only about penguins ) 1 5 1

The strippers are nice too. I love the wooden trim, too. And that's a very handsome staircase in the hallway. 2 hours ago, Albert1434 said: We have jalapeno, poblano, pepperoncini and thai birds cry Morgan planted Pimento, Jalapeno, and Shishito peppers. Mickey and Remy have been on several camping trips already. I think they're happy to finally be outside. I've been spending a lot more time outside myself, weeding and tending the yard. 4 1

Albert1434 Posted July 25, 2020 Posted July 25, 2020 This is the recipe I use Blistered Shishito Peppers***** 1 lb. shishito peppers 2-3 tbsp avocado oil or other flavorless oil 3 cloves garlic peeled and smashed 2 tsp Morton Coarse Sea Salt 1 squeeze of lemon Heat the oil to a heavy-bottom pan over medium heat. Add your garlic and cook until fragrant. Remove garlic. Add the peppers. Let them blister/char on all sides. Finish with Morton Coarse Sea Salt. Notes The more blistered you get the peppers, the more delicious they are! Try and get them charred all over. Finish with the sea salt and squeeze of lemon immediately while the peppers are still warm for best results. 1 2
