By the way, did you know that there's evidence that watermelon contains a chemical similar to the one in viagra that helps overcome erectile dysfunction? Spoiler Although it seems you'd need to eat vast quantities of it, for you to start noticing the effect. Eating tons of it in hopes of treating erectile dysfunction will accomplish exactly one thing: it'll have you peeing a lot, since the melon is a diuretic and is about 92 percent water. Mum and I typically make jam using equals amounts of fruit and sugar and cooking it until it thickens. This sounds good. 3 1

Popular Post Marty Posted August 31, 2020 Popular Post Posted August 31, 2020 (edited) For dinner tonight, I am having homemade beef curry (from the freezer) on a bed of boiled rice. A late dinner because I was involved in a Zoom meeting this evening that ran on much longer than had been promised. Hence the "convenience meal." The vegetables I brought in from the garden can be used for tomorrow evening's dinner. Edited August 31, 2020 by Marty typo 2 5

My first introduction was 30+ years ago. A local place made tangerine beef. Only place I've ever encountered it and it was wonderful. Sadly they closed in the late 1990's. 5

Marty Posted September 1, 2020 Posted September 1, 2020 (edited) Happy Tuesday, everybody! Reasonably sunny day here, with no sign of rain. Currently around 17°C/63°F, with a high expected of 19/66. There may be a bit of rain overnight, but the Met Office are suggesting that high pressure might be arriving around the weekend; so I'm keeping my fingers crossed for spell of dry, settled weather to come. Raked up a lot of dead leaves that have fallen from the ivy I cut on the old cottage and dug the second last row of potatoes this morning. Am planning on getting the strimmer out later, put the blade attachment on it, and clear the weeds and brushwood in the driveway between my property and the empty next door house. My builder is due back with me shortly (hopefully by the end of this week), and one of the jobs on his list is to hang a gateway at the entrance to that driveway, which will mean I can start parking my car off the main street. Currently there's just a fixed wooden fence across the entrance. Hope everyone has a great day. Edited September 1, 2020 by Marty Tidying up 2 3
Popular Post dughlas Posted September 1, 2020 Popular Post Posted September 1, 2020 G'day y'all. Tis a cool damp overcast morning with a bit of breeze. Some rain overnight with more showers in the forecast. Took Thistle for a shortened walk this morning, only 2 miles instead of four, before heading to market for a few things. My head aches today. Likely due to a combination of changeable weather and the fact I'm coming up on when the next series of injections is due. Anyway having a bit of laydown. Blessed be. 5 1
