So here it is. My week 29 of 52 photograph...

I've given it the title Wonky Carrots.

(Due to the Covid-19 lockdown, I was unable to get any standard carrot seeds this year. They just weren't available when the shops finally reopened. One shop did have a few trays of carrot seedlings, however. All the books say that carrots shouldn't be transplanted, as the young roots will be damaged, resulting in forked and twisted carrots. This is what happened to me this year, as this photograph shows. That said, although the carrots are a bit difficult to clean and prepare, they are still perfectly edible.)

I like the picture but yep those are some wonky carrots. They resemble ginseng root.

I am planning on making some of my summer favourite this weekend. I have all the bits (I hope) and will see if I can bland something tea magic

The one I’m making is a herbal iced tea - tangy hibiscus, lemon Myrtle, lemongrass, peppermint plus a few petals to make it look pretty. Very refreshing

it’s good with or without sweetener but I prefer it without

Now that we are heading into days in the low 30s I keep a few bottles chilled in the fridge at home and at work

Note the blueberries grazing in the far distance. You'll have to look closely as they're shy creatures prone to hiding in the tall grasses. Perhaps it's their presence that has drawn the horses to the meadow.
