Popular Post clochette Posted October 29, 2020 Popular Post Posted October 29, 2020 (edited) So today I went to brought back clothes that didn't fit to shops before lockdown tonight and stopped at one that sells books, DVDs, music, craft stuff... and it was packed! The paying line ran all the way to the back of the store! In one of the store I kind of got offered a part time job. A month ago there was a note saying they were hiring. When I had asked the manager had said they had just signed someone and it was for 24 hours per weeks which wouldn't fit my schedule anyway so I hadn't given my resume. Today, the manager came to talked to me while I was looking at clothes and said he'd still be interested in my resume, even when I was honest and said I have no experience. Of course with lockdown the store will be closed for a month but they'll need reinforcements when it'll reopen early December with all the people wanting to buy after being locked in for weeks plus the upcoming Christmas season. So yeah maybe, maybe!, the stars are starting the line up, even just a little bit, for me Otherwise the weather is still grey, wet and depressing. Wishing you all a nice and warm day Edited October 29, 2020 by clochette 2 6

Popular Post Marty Posted October 29, 2020 Popular Post Posted October 29, 2020 (edited) Today, 29th October 2020, marks the 80th birthday of my eldest sibling, Maureen. Last weekend I should have been travelling to England for a family get-together to mark this important milestone. Due to Covid-19 these celebrations had to be cancelled. My next eldest sibling, Michael will reach the same milestone in June of 2022. Fingers (and everything else) crossed that we'll all still be around, and able to get together for that celebration. Spoiler Edited October 29, 2020 by Marty Removing another of my inevitable typos. 1 5

Popular Post Albert1434 Posted October 30, 2020 Popular Post Posted October 30, 2020 (edited) We were camping and steve put a rock on the trap to hold it down. And of course he said what ever you do dont kick this rock. So he turn around and kick it and broke a toe. We were camping on the oregon coastline so we soaked that toe in the frigid water of that coast! Edited October 30, 2020 by Albert1434 6 1

Since the passage of the cold front overnight it's cooling down here. At 5am it was 71/22° an hour and a half later it is down to a breezy 64/18° with a brightly lit early morning sky. 6
