Sun and clouds here. Breezy, which may explain why it's still unseasonably cool. But at least it's staying dry (for the moment).

Clarification

Hey, all! Happy Tuesday, and I hope you are all doing well. The idea of going back over the posts I've missed is daunting, so I will leave it for now. I had 293 notifications to catch up on.  I'm doing okay, I think... and will try to get comfortable again.

Was hot as hades here for a few days but is quite pleasant today. Sunny and not too hot. My mare is doing extremely well... she has rallied beyond my expectations, and looks great for an old girl.

That's great news!  It's been really hot here too, but is supposed to change significantly tomorrow.

Every time I step out the back door I have to be careful not to step on a kitten/kittens. The mothers are sharing seven kittens... don't know what happened to the eighth one  . They feed them on the back step, and I have been picking them up when I can, so they won't be so skittish of me.

My son and his girlfriend just got back from getting their first Pfizer shots.   In a few more days, all my kids and their partners will have their first ones.

I got my second Moderna shot last week.  My arm was really sore and I was sick for a few days, but I'm glad to have it.

Quick story from the crazy old cat man. I take Cookie out at night now... because of the skunk episode... and I turn on the outside barn lights while she does her business. So... I was peeing and heard some rustling behind me in the leaves. Long story short, went in and got my flashlight, and it turned out to be a tiny kitten who had worked it's way out at the base of the garage where there was an opening between two sheets of the metal siding. It was two in the morning and I didn't know what to do because the litter is well hidden in the corner and I was afraid to move anything in case I crushed a kitten. There are three big new windows stacked there with plywood pieces in front of them o protect them, and they are right beside the big square bales of hay.

I ended up washing my hands really good, and putting the kitten in a cut down box and leaving it as close as I could get to the corner. Three hours later the kitten was gone... so I assume mother cat carried her back to the rest... I still have no idea how many kittens are in that litter.

My son got nauseous and they gave him a juice box. Same thing happened to one of my daughters.
