Popular Post clochette Posted June 12, 2022 Popular Post Posted June 12, 2022 (edited) Omg worst music festival ever!!! I was advertised as an eco friendly, family oriented festival. Every tickets sold out to 5000 people. We had to wait 1h to enter as there was only 2 females security guards. Once in we had missed half the first big set and it was already 7.30 so seeing the lines already forming we went to get food. We choose the burger one. We managed to ordered after over 1 hour! Then we had to wait 1h45 to actually get our food! Making it a total of almost 3 hours! 3 hours for 3 burgers, 4 fries and 3 defrost waffled with so little chocolate sauce we didn't even taste it. Inadmissible! It was a nightmare. Instead of giving you an order number to call you he took first names they were only 4 people managing the stand: 1 taking the orders, another calling the orders, one at the fries and another cooking the burgers plus they had only planned 1500 pieces... Just as the last set was about the start my 10 years old cousin was on my dad's shoulders. I caught a guy trying to take their picture!!! Not even discret, he had his phone almost in my face. I immediately out my hand in front of his phone and told him no. You don't take pictures of people you don't know without their consent especially kids! He said he "just wanted to capture this cute family moment and would have even offered to send it to me by email". I made sure he deleted them even though they were totally blury. He pissed me off so much I could have but his head off!!! He then said I was too stuck up and offered me a drink of Ricard from his water bottle We then hear him going a bit farther saying he wanted to annoy people. He clearly had had drinks and probably smoked weed but damm it it was supposed to be a nice family oriented festival and some assholes can't even rein in their bull$&@#. We took the occasion of a crowd movement to move farther away and for me and my cousin to stand in front of my dad. I was being careful cause lately all around the country there has been people, especially young women, saying they've been punctured by needles in clubs or festivals. Nothing found in flood/urine even hair tests but it is concerning. The music was great but too bad all the rest spoiled the evening. Edited June 12, 2022 by clochette 1 6

He is not picking up his phone but that’s not unusual so we are communicating via text Well that encouraging. Keeping fingers crossed for him and the other people 5

I spent a couple of years in the Maricopa Valley , and it's like that all the time. People from the lower portions of the midwest or the south would say "oh but it's a dry heat, you don't have the humidity there." Yeah, go outside when it's ten or twenty degrees over 100F... Oh sure the air is dry, like walking into an over, but you're not REMOTELY dry. Unless you are which means get inside fast cause you could be experiencing heat exhaustion and you're in danger (happened to me my first summer there). Also there is humidity in the air when the massive dust storms followed by what they called monsoons there would blow in. Lots of sporadic rain storms where you could just watch the water massively pound down for like a minute and then abruptly stop and do that on and off. It literally looked like someone hit the on off switch for the storm over and over again. Finally it would settle into a large downpour, sometimes with enough water to flood the streets, lots of lightning. Yeah it would drop the temperature down to normal levels for a bit, but of course with humidity. Yeah living in the desert in the summer was no joke. 2 3
Page Scrawler Posted June 12, 2022 Posted June 12, 2022 Well, Max has everything packed up for his trip. Tomorrow, he'll be leaving for his Summer Intensive program for the next two weeks. I have no idea how I'm going to handle it while he's gone. 2 2

And if there's wind it's like mother nature was slapping you in the face and searing your eyeballs I spent the entirely of my childhood right on the edge of the Mojave Desert, and high 90s in the hottest part of the summer was normal. But the actual heat in the heart of a desert like that is just a different animal. Some people live in it their entire lives, but I did those 2 years and that was enough for me.
