I am deeply saddened at the loss of Carlos, he was a great person that I was lucky to have some interaction with, I loved  his stories, and his personality! You will be missed!💘

It's surreal, we never actually met and yet there's a void where he should be. A missing presence. I had the privilege to beta read a couple of times for him and. The the most recent was the last story he posted. We talked kilts and tartan, the British monarchy for others of the CJverse stories. Laughed together when I told him I was certain I'd met CJ working as a barista at a Starbucks in Jacksonville, FL. Teased one another about being old, he though four months younger than I was still the "Ancient Biker". He knew I have a thing for gingers. He knew when what he'd written would make me cry and respected those tears. Now my tears are for him and the loss I feel.

Just finished chapter three, and the whole time I was writing I was aware Carlos was not, that his writing was done... it's a terrible thing to contemplate, and I hope he felt satisfied with what he left behind. At some point writing will end for me too... for all of us, so I will try to be thankful for each day I can still create. Peace to you, Carlos Hazday.

Every story written contains a piece of the author, when that author passes away they leave us something very valuable in the stories that they write, and in that way, they live on. We have stories to treasure.

Hi, northie. To be completely honest there were times and conversations where that man drove me crazy and I told him so, but the depth of my sadness tells me none of that ever mattered, and I think he truly listened when I called him a hothead a few times. Many's the time I had to calm him down about something that pissed him off.   Carlos and I took our journey together, and we shared so much over those years... we argued for sure, sometimes having vastly different viewpoints, but we always came together again in some way... with a quick message or a comment... or shared amusement over something that happened on site or in the world. If he needed me I was there, and I know he was for me too. The fact that isn't the case any longer really hurts. Commiserations to you too, my friend.

Carlos was a totally cool person that I love to talk to. Be it comments or others wise I am going to miss him, he was a good friend!

I personally wish I’d kept in better contact with Carlos the last couple of years.  I used to look forward to every Friday when he’d post his CJ stories.  Half the enjoyment was interacting in the comments section, and I’d always have a big smile on my face early in the day.  It does really make me sad I’ll never get to banter with him or tease him here ever again.
