I made sausage rolls once. From a cookbook of German cuisine. They were very labor-intensive. But soooo delicious with a bit of mustard for dipping. Edited February 20, 2019 by Page Scrawler 7

My recipe is adapted from one by Jamie Oliver - sometimes referred to as The Naked Chef But I do have to admit to cheating slightly... I used a packet of ready rolled puff pastry rather than make it from scratch. Edited February 20, 2019 by Marty Removing another of my inevitable typos. 5 1 2

But why in the world would anyone try cooking without clothes? (I'm kidding, of course. ) But even so, I'd imagine most men would want to keep their goolies covered, especially if something is being deep-fried on the stove. 7

Jamie Oliver was the chef. Apparently his intention in the show was to strip down restaurant techniques to their bare essentials and create cool dishes for everyone to cook at home. I suspect that was what gave the show its title... And the programme was credited with inspiring men to cook due to Oliver's "blokey" approach. 8

I'm somewhat familiar with Jamie Oliver by reputation. I never saw much of him on TV, because my family was turned off by the "rustic" design of his English kitchen. 1 6

But I kind of prefer Gordon Ramsey. There's something about people who shout and swear a lot that I find somehow appealing. 1 5 2

Yea! But I was trying to find one that wasn't also a slang term... I did think of using another technical name: male gonads - but that may have been a bit too obscure. 2 6
