Good morning peeps.  Hope you all had a nice weekend. 

 

I had a first yesterday. My vet calls me asking if I can transport an injured alpaca to a specialty clinic. I have never even touched an alpaca before, let alone loaded one on a trailer.  Scared the hell out of me when we got to the clinic and she was laying down in the stall!

Have you considered one of those prefab sheds? May be easier to get approved by zoning, one side has no windows, which solves the privacy issue, and they are not too expensive.

Good morning!!!  Sunny day over here. I wouldn't mind trading it for some snow. Never had a snow day in my life. Don't know what I've been missing all these years.  Although, in retrospective, the snow shoveling does not sound like a walk in the park.

Snow days are nice, although the cleanup isn't fun.  I usually get one or two per year, but it can be more or less, depending on how much snow the lake feels like dumping on us before it freezes over.

Morning all, winter is definitely here today with only 3℃, white sky, ass freezing east wind and a yellow alert for snow and ice for tonight.

In other news I can't go back to the apartment until further notice. Protesters started blocking roads around the country all weekend and are still in action. Today they're blocking the south east access to the city from where I'm coming, the highway around it and and the south west access too...

So I'm staying home, nursing mom's foot and baking.

What are they protesting?  That really sucks you can't get back to your apartment.  What about classes?

 Yellow means we won't have any snow but they're covering their asses in case.

 

Protestations start against the latest fuel taxes and now it's more of a general growl against how expensive everyday life is. But blocking other people, people who can't afford to leave work to protest, from going to work I don't find this acceptable.

I could technically go back to the apartment but I would be stuck for hours and hours, so no point. I'm no risking anything at school, all my classes are in theaters so no control either we're attending or not plus there's a storage cloud where we share our notes on the Facebook page

I agree with you. Everyday life is expensive everywhere and it's harder for some vs others.  Stopping people from earning a living isn't going to help.

Oh, yes. Fuel taxes. Can't say I'm surprised.  Could you do me a favor? When the protesters are done, could you send them here? We could definitely use their help... and pitchforks.  It'd be a well-deserved reminder to those in charge of how the French Revolution ended.
