It's sunny but the wind is fresh so I've spent the morning reading in bed then worked for a bit in the greenhouse and finished by making a brookie.

I've finally found a solution to protect the spinach plants from the evil snails 😈🤞 (I'm not killing them if I catch one I threw it in the neighbors bushes )

One of the best and cheapest ways to get rid of snails is to put out a dish with beer in it.  You'll have pre-marinated escargot

A brookie is a brownie with cookie on top to make one cake.

 beer snails! I've put the spinach plants in pots and they're on a shelf in the greenhouse with a light garden sheet  normally use against bird/bugs around.

Oooo brookies sound really good   I made a homemade treat similar to Reeses peanut butter cups, but with almond butter and dark chocolate.  Soo gooood.  🤤

And I'm totally serious about the beer.  It's a great low-cost way to get rid of them.

Took mum and a friend of hers out to dinner to celebrate Mother's Day. Mum's friend is widowed and her children live in WV so she would have been alone.

Well, it's now almost 2 in the morning, and I really should get some shut eye. I'm around two thousand words in, and not really sure how many thousand more I need to write before I can bring it to a satisfactory ending. The cut-off date is very close, so I can't afford to waste too much time. Fingers crossed...
