rough... but i was warned. the exercise i have to do starting today is excruciating, but i'm getting it done... two more times today yet. lot of swelling but i'm icing  a lot, xoxo

Hi all.

Sorry I've not been around much this past few days. Been dosed with a head cold, and just haven't been able to concentrate on things. Just about over it now, so I may be back to annoy yous all tomorrow.

Off to bed now, though.

thanks bro... not whining but last night was pure hell. can add nausea to the list. so mush pain, but i'm hoping each day gets better xoxo ... oh... and i stink. can shower on wednesday after i take bandage off... then my first physio

We can’t even hose you down? Hmmmm Wednesday is not that far away I guess

 I hope it gets better soon, in the bad old days you would still be in hospital. At least you get to sleep in your bed

nope... can't sleep in my bed... on couch in family room wedged in with pillows so i can't move around when i sleep. cookie has to sleep downstairs with my son so she doesnt jump or lay on my arm. sucks xoxo

 

i wouldn't mind being hosed, but can't get arm or bandage wet

Think the couch and pillows was a good Idea  Is there some reason you cant take a sponge bath ? And you could get most of you with care if you have a stool you could put that in the bathtub and sit on that  I did this when I had my kidney surgery

It takes a while for all the drugs they gave you during surgery to get out of your system, plus the ongoing painkillers... it's not surprising you're nauseous.  I can't take anything stronger than ibuprofen because it makes me sick.  Each day will get better as your body heals and adjusts.  Keep in mind, you've been through invasive surgery.  You don't recover overnight.
