Forever ago, this was my favourite band. I stopped listening when they pushed out Tarja, but this song (and the album it’s on) remains a beloved favourite.

Wish his voice wasn't so over-produced here. Pisses me off about modern pop music that you can't just let people have the voices they have. His natural voice is beautiful, so why melodyne the crap out of it like this? It's sad.

I'm inclined to agree with you. While I don't mind a bit of synthesia to accentuate certain songs, I believe that ultimately, the artist's own voice should shine through. That being said, I didn't hear any "electronic" voices in this song.  :)

It's not your electronic auto-tune we're talking about. They've 'fixed' his voice to make it 'perfect'. Plug-ins like Melodyne are used to correct pitch, even out vibrato, things like that, and it's used in practically all pop-music now. It's sad. They fix things that don't need fixing. You probably wouldn't be able to hear it very well, but I'm a sound tech and a singer. I can always tell.

I found this on a French Tumblr of all places…

The link if you, like me, block automatic loading of videos and autoplay YouTube.  ;–)

I should point out that Hanukkah is a minor holiday in Israel. It was elevated to major status in the US as an anti-christmas countermeasure. Along with the ‘Hanukkah Bush,’ it is an effort to mollify Jewish kids who see all the hype around Santa and christianity’s second biggest holy day (behind easter, of course – even this Agnostic know that!).  ;–)

Saw some friends of mine that I haven't seen in a while perform tonight. So I thought I'd plug them a little bit.
