Prologue nearly done ... and slightly out of order but that seems to be a thing we do ... chapter one is finished.. i think.

write in whatever order works ..

i prefer to start at the beginning and write straight through .. however, my partner is different but that's cool.  He has bursts of inspiration and writes various scenes as we go along which are woven in later. That's how trainwreck was done and that worked well.

Thanks for putting up with my crazy. I know it has to be weird bouncing around, but ... yeah, that's how my brain works!

We had a good writing day. We’re maybe ... 1/2 through chapter 3 or so. It feels Like it’s moving fast to me. We’ve also gotten a ton of the research done needed to write it correctly too.

It feels good. This is going to be a really good one ... I know it.

To me writing a new story is like a train ... the wheels slip at the beginning, until the whole thing gets moving. Then with any luck, there will not be many fallen trees on the tracks.  We are learning who the characters are, what they want and need and how they will react to the story we will drop them in. It is a lovely story about life, courage, love and choices.

I think Wayne is right, it feels really good.

We're still working on our project. We've begun chapter five, and every chapter reinforces that this tale is so vastly different from Trainwreck. At one point in our planning, tim said "i want to read this! i want it done, so i can read it!" I completely understand that sentiment. I didn't understand that I needed to read this story until we started writing it.

I think that means we're on to something wonderful. So far, it has certainly been wonderful to write.

The new story is called Wild Maple Farm. It's just the post that's titled "Under Construction."

Yeah! I had no idea it'd take as much as it has. We'll likely have a bit more to do as well, but I think the majority is handled now. I think we've both learned a lot we didn't plan on learning ... and that's cool. 🙂

Anthology story done, waaaaay longer than i'd sort of wanted. But stories are as long as they need to be.  Also 4 poems are complete ... working on the 5th.

Now i can turn my attention to Wild Maple Farm.
