NaperVic Posted October 28, 2006 Posted October 28, 2006 I just wanted to publicly thank JSmith (Joey ) for all the work he does on GA. I've gotten to work with Joe in a couple of stints here at GA, and each time I've been extremely impressed with his leadership style, his willingness to take on tough tasks, and the volume of work he does. Not only does he do a lot of the technical, behind the scenes work on the site, but he also has a common sense approach to leadership that is rare, but highly respected out in the real world. Besides my obsession for Dom ( ), its people like you who motivate many of us to participate and be a part of GA. Joe, although you
Demetz Posted October 28, 2006 Posted October 28, 2006 Many thanks for all the work you do, Joe! The site wouldn't be right with out you.
DarkShadow Posted October 28, 2006 Posted October 28, 2006 As I said in the Kitty thank you thread. You are all wonderful and I can't thank you enough. Be you cloven hooved or ten toed, you are all awesome. So... again... THANKS!!!
Masked Monkey Posted October 28, 2006 Posted October 28, 2006 Thank you Joey for working to make GA a fun place where many people can play and have fun, as well as read the works of some of the best authors on the internet. Snow Dog
C James Posted October 28, 2006 Posted October 28, 2006 Thank you Joe!!!! Joe does a heck of a lot here, far more than most of us ever see. Keeping a site like this running is no easy task! THANK YOU JOE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
icedfire Posted October 28, 2006 Posted October 28, 2006 You get no thanks from me until you call me! ... ... *tries to maintain a straight face* ... Nah, it's all good. Like Vic and C James said, we rarely see the work you do at GA, only its results. To balance it with all the other myriad aspects of your life is outstanding. I won't say that you have more ability than most teenagers...I think any teenager is capable of great things...but what you *do* have is a drive and dedication to something that few of the adults here can match. Well done! Rob
Drewbie Posted October 28, 2006 Posted October 28, 2006 Thanks Joe, Improvements to this site couldn't happen without your help.
JamesSavik Posted October 28, 2006 Posted October 28, 2006 I would hire JSmith as a web administrator in a heartbeat. I have seen a lot of people with half his skill working in the business. We are very fortunate to have him.
Site Administrator Graeme Posted October 28, 2006 Site Administrator Posted October 28, 2006 Thank you, Joe, for all your work. I remember being in the chatroom while Joe was there, and he mentioned he was editting a huge number of HTML files to get them ready for posting here. That's the sort of thing that people don't realise gets done every week, and Joe's one of those people who does it. Thanks again! Graeme
jalaki Posted October 28, 2006 Posted October 28, 2006 Three cheers for Joey! Hip hip, hooray! Hip hip, hooray! Hip hip, hooray!
vlista20 Posted October 28, 2006 Posted October 28, 2006 Thanks Joey!! You are a great asset to GA, thanks for helping to make it such a great place. Vance
AFriendlyFace Posted October 29, 2006 Posted October 29, 2006 YAY for Joe! Thanks for everything you do around here! You totally rock!!! Have an awesome day! Kevin
Myk Posted October 29, 2006 Posted October 29, 2006 Hey Joey, You really do give a lot to this place...especially for someone so young. So thanks for your hard work, it is really a great thing to see and it is appreciated! Greg
knotme Posted October 29, 2006 Posted October 29, 2006 I really don't understand all that you do, but I do get a vague feeling that it's a whole lot. Yet you've always found time to respond quickly to my minor requests. I echo James Savik: You're a great asset. The firm (if any) that you choose to work for will be lucky to have you. Thanks!
xander Posted October 31, 2006 Posted October 31, 2006 Hey Joey! Thanks for all what you've contributed in the awesomeness of GA. Ronnie
