If you can't take a baseball bat or a 9 iron to the windows, pile some newspapers against the side of the cottage and strike a match....

One the one hand, our intrepid heros have to be the luckiest, most fortunate idiots alive to have survived in the world for as long as they have, as incredibly clumsy they've been, as this chapter has demonstrated... Then, the Good Sherriff Tucker blew his chance, giving Hadrian time to be possibly rescued instead of ending Hadrian's live as he should have...but no...wait there's more...Like all megalomaniacs he has to recite chapter and verse of all his dastardly exploits... Not convinced yet....Zain saves the day because of the shoes...Ya gotta love Gucci.... Zaîn felt an inexplicable connection with the creature and immediately understood that its presence could help him find the others. As the wolf let out a long howl toward the window, clearly calling him to join, Zaîn felt a sudden urgency. He quickly put on a large black blazer over his gray tracksuit and slipped into a pair of Gucci Pricetown burgundy mules,

Well now, thank goodness that went well...and OK all you haters... The jury has instructions the following might be considered tampering... "It doesn't feel like it took that long," Asa remarked. "Caleb's boosting ability is better than we imagined." Reading the beginning of this chapter reminded me of the following....

After That, Can Anything Be Normal?
drsawzall commented on Lee Wilson's story chapter in After That, Can Anything Be Normal?
God...that was a terrible pun...I shudder to think most of your readers can't remember some of the greatest guitar instrumentals of that, and any other generation. Mr Burlington needs a bit of costly education, truly learning the error of his ways... For all you plebes out there... -
The plot thickens and the best advice is to trust but verify....

Loved this chapter, very educational, when I was but a inquisitive young teen, an older friend educated me in a series of lessons I remember fondly to this day!!

Nice to have a chapter a day early and a reminder that there is a powerful storm coming, will the hurricane hit during a full moon??? I have to agree, this is the strongest swimmer amongst all the red herrings... This one is named Danny...

Well done!! A very poignant look at how PTSD effects our service members…My father was in China during WW2 and did not come back the person he was previously…I can only wonder how his life could have been so much better had the services been able to diagnose and treat PTSD. A remarkable tale that begs a second chapter!

Thought provoking and well worth the time to read, they say the devil is in the details and this is no exception. When tragedy strikes, how do you find the will to go forward? Well written, this is a master class in the art of writing an essay!!!

Well done...you took a difficult and contentious subject and handled it succinctly and adroitly along with a touch of grace and class... I remember being about 13 years old, standing outside Holy Angles waiting for my sisters friend to to come out after catechism class. As she came out Father Dwyer was behind her and admonished her for having friends who were protestant, that she could go to hell for hanging with us... I asked the good father about his vow of poverty as he was stepping into his Cadillac sedan...needless to say there was quite the ear bashing... I've had the same discussion with my 'born again' friends' and we always end up agreeing to disagree...just as I remind them we wouldn't have Democrats if it weren't for Republicans behaving badly....

Chapter 1 - Don't Look Back
drsawzall commented on Refugium's story chapter in Chapter 1 - Don't Look Back
Not only are they trapped in a destructive co-dependency, there's a third partner in this relationship...drugs...Yuri's passing off his overdose as an accident, makes one think there a re deeper issues/problems that are being glossed over... Time to give sobriety a chance folks... -
Well done, did not see that coming...I suppose there might have to warm socks for Adrien when they do cohabitate in the sack, and as my mother always said...a cold nose means a warm heart...tho I think she was referring to our dog...

I Want You, Humiliation, and a Sense of Normalcy
drsawzall commented on Lee Wilson's story chapter in I Want You, Humiliation, and a Sense of Normalcy
My goodness…wonder what will become of Tony and isn’t the Principal a dickwad…next meeting with him needs to be recorded!,,, -
Well now...There's much to clean up after this mess...the 2 EMT's who were killed and the other badly wounded...Jeremy's memory is coming back and it will be interesting to see how all of this pans out!!

Well..an auspicious event...will the antidote have any other effects???

Something to ponder, who was the culprit who wanted Dowager Finley dead and how much will this set back Aaron 's plans...

Fleur needs to learn patience and I have to wonder who 'she' is.... "Hadrian, don’ you think it might be possible that, after all these years, all this suffering, she simply decides that the curse should finally end? That you've repented enough for the past?" he dared to ask. Sadness clouded Hadrian's face. "I don't think I deserve it myself, not today, not ever... So I doubt that she, in particular, would come to such an absurd conclusion."

We'll cross that bridge when it comes around the corner.... AND...Woot...WOOT...first on page 4...how bout that @weinerdog

Like every one else we’ve been waiting for this day…here’s hoping all goes to plan… Ok all you haters…the jury is out to lunch, no…dumbkoff, not the liquid kind…. Listen to me,” Caleb demanded. “You had no way of knowing. You did precisely what you should have done. The poison may have affected my decisions, but it was not the only reason. My head was fucked up for a long time. I won’t blame it solely on the mercury. I know better. There are so many things I could have done differently, but I’m done beating myself up over them. We need to move forward
