What a way to start a confession. In a way it's very realistic. Didn't we all start a difficult conversation with some silly question to break the ice some time? I might have difficulties to look at crocuses for a time. -

Unexpected Turns Nothing was as his father had told him. Urien locked the door to Cai's room and sealed it with a strong locking spell, one only he could remove. The plan had been to destabilize the warlord system supporting the Andoan mages, and to kill the second-generation hybrid. Only Cai wasn't a hybrid, at least not magic-wise. That's right. Imagine you're from across the canal. You learn English by reading British and American books, watching films and movies, talking (mostly) to non native speakers. It's like ping pong sometimes: lift-elevator; post-mail and of course all the things already mentioned. And don't get me started on local phrases. You have to make sure not to mix those. I'm lucky, though. I have an American and a British editor, who prevent me from constantly running in aforementioned booby traps. Thank God. Love you guys.

I have problems with translated stories, at least if I read them in English first. It always sounds/reads kinda weird. Maybe it's just me. *shrugs* -
