    Chapter 1

I liked Ryan's way of protecting himself from people around him. No mindless babble or rude behavior. Simply keeping himself and his thoughts private and coping with the demands of both his jobs. But Erik sure punctured his safe little bubble. Nice touch with the good food in the shabby diner and the explanation for why they want to do 'romantic' gay porn.
  2. JAR and I assumed this was meant to be a silver bracelet.
  3. Re-emergence - of Logan: the beloved son of the alpha, the last pup of the pack, the wolf worthy of being Tilly's earth mate. We all hoped it would happen and you didn't disappoint. He showed that the angry, mean, irrational guy wasn't who he really was. That was the tumor and now it's gone, so are Kellar's dislike and Tobyn's doubts. And that's who they are: understanding, forgiving, helpful and on a mission to save shifters. Tobyn may love the joke of 'It's who I am....' in relation to Kellar, but it could be said of him. At the meeting the tag team re-emerged too - Kellar as the healer and Tobyn as the talker, both of them strong mates who have each other's back. The idea of Kellar as the new savior also came back and his discomfort at being seen thus. He does not want to say It's who I am.... to this part, but we know Tobyn is right. Kellar IS someone special. I think we also saw a re-emergence of Clarence as decisive alpha, and of Vega pack as shifters with belief in the future. Not just those lucky few who now know hey have earth mates, but the others who can hope Kellar will find more. Clarence came across as who he is: an alpha who wants the best for his pack and is not going to pull any punches or hide how dire their situation is. He knows they need to move to Morningstar - but that doesn't mean forever. Once they are back to a viable size, Vega can re-emerge as it's own pack. Great chapter and thank you for saving Logan. Tilly deserves it.
  4. Looking Back while Moving Forward - as usual your chapter title has several meanings. Of course the obvious one is Delia's story about their first savior. Cahlar came when shifters were on the brink of extinction and he saved them. Not only the name and his actions but also his pelt and his size point to Kellar in the present. In addition there is the prophesy which will be helpful for the mission of Kellar and Tobyn. Yes, Delia is correct in saying they need to understand and absorb the past to achieve the future. But there are more wolves, past and present, to consider. Kellar's parents come to mind, why did they name him Kellar, and what happened on the day they died? He knows about the hunters and how they also go back a long time, and perhaps they have their own tales and prophecies. But they did not know about Cahlar, because the old hunter who caught Kellar didn't recognize the special two-sided coloring. If his parents knew a seer who had a vision then perhaps Kellar can find the pack where this seer lived even if she or he isn't alive anymore, other shifters may remember his parents. So that's another way looking back will influence them going forward. Other wolves with tragic pasts are Bill and Fendral, and as Kellar thinks about what he did for Logan he may find out how to help those two shifters - in fact he's already well on his way to come full circle in his understanding. He looks back at what he recalls about Fendral and moves forward in his healer skills and confidence in how to cure them as much as possible. Tobyn certainly wants to move in that direction as he looks back and think of the alpha he loves. Finally the two men who bested a hunter remembered what they had been told and their two recently dead friends, and they acted with new decisiveness and confidence. It will help Vega pack move forward, away from the feelings of helplessness and despair. Yes, they have every reason to see Kellar as the savior and the answer to their problems. And they don't even know about the earth mates ! Fantastic chapter - and I'm sorry about the late review.

    Chapter 5

I think Liam made the right choices here, with a bit of help from Marty. Liam should stop telling himself he should be over Alek already, and he should give Nathan a chance as a friend and relax about the potential of more. It may never happen, but if Liam has another gay friend, they can go out together, and perhaps Nathan knows other nice gay men.
  6. Tillykke !!!! Always nice to see good work rewarded.
  7. If not for my editors I wouldn't be able to post here, so to them. Great blog, northie.
  8. So the stupid GAers are eradicating Ernst's relatives on Earth? That's rather awful and vindictive. I was surprised to learn there were still 'thals left in the compound in Finland, i thought they had all emigrated. Oh well, they can turn their back on the homo sapiens scum and focus on the stars. The clever humans will expand along with the 'thals. Glad to see this story back and I did read all the previous chapters, just for the joy of it.
  9. I agree with Robbie about Alex and I was very pleased he refused to visit him. I hope he stands firm and tells Alex to go fuck himself. That guy is no friend to anyone but himself.
  10. Yes I agree, it did. Maybe Rob got cold feet? Or perhaps he simply laid the groundwork for a later invitation? Even if they went as friends only (with or without benefits ) it would be a strong statement, right?
  11. And he probably prefers it that way! Introverted people hate being in the spotlight! ;-) Yes, yes we do. It's a nightmare.
  12. Thanks, AC. Rob does have a great role model in his dad, who is a psychologist working with troubled teens / college students. Rob is also blessed with the urge to figure out secrets, mainly in order to help or understand motivations of people, but of course also to influence them. He can be motivated by noble intentions, but also personal gain - in this case for the team and for Eric. He wants nothing to disrupt Eric's happiness, and if Ryan benefits too, so much the better.

    Chapter 1

Wow, you really did go on a rampage in my story list, awesome This is actually my first short story which stayed a short story even in my mind. I find it mildly funny / frustrating / flattering how my readers subsequently suggest I should expand it to a novel. But I'm glad you also think it works well the way it is. Thank you for returning to leave a review.
  14. And as I told you I loved I evoked that reaction in you. It was Henry's way of trying to reassert his influence, to take back the power (he thought) he had over his daughter. Seeing Kristin with Tor, dressed in a way the Dane wanted (no matter the reason) made Henry lose his cool. He's possessive to a degree which scares me, and for the first time ever his whole family has denied him, stood up to him, rejected his claim on them. Let's hope his sensible brain takes over fast, or else... I don't think he'll turn up for the engagement party, not with the Mama Bears there. In fact, I hope he won't turn up in my head ever again.
  15. I'm glad you gave it another try. I don't blame my readers for losing track of the story with my poor update schedule, so it warms my heart to welcome you back. My intention going forward is to ditch the unhappy relatives, but as you say nothing is certain. So Henry may pop up at some later date, when we least expect it.
  16. Thank you LL, I think your observations are spot on. Patrick will treasure every story about his mum and visiting Michael at the hospital will feel different I think. He's never seen the place his mother worked, but he heard her talk about it. I'm pleased the emotions of Peter and Patrick resonate with you as a parent. I think all parents cling to the hope and trust of their children being OK, yet at times the fear of otherwise can be hard to face - not to mention the reality. Peter may be Patrick's rock in many ways, but as you say in this matter roles are reversed. Glad you liked the distraction.
  17. Yeah, as Scandinavians we find it strange for women to give up their jobs just because they have a baby. And surely having Erin stay on even at half time must be better than nothing? I loved this sentence: The whole store looked like a bomb of soft pink, pale blue and spring green had exploded. And of course Joel would get a blanket with owls. Wonder where you got that idea...

    Chapter 4

I know I'm on the pro-Nathan and anti-Alek team, but I did like Alek saying he knew he had been a selfish prick and he wanted to be deserving of Liam even if he would never be with him again. If nothing else, Alek will gain (self-)respect and the potential of finding love in the future with another guy. I liked him when he started dating Liam and I felt sorry for him. I don't wish him ill, but on the other hand I do not want Liam to pay the price of Alek's struggles. He's done that for too long already. We'll see whether Alek keeps his promises. But he has everything to lose and no guarantee of a gain.
  19. You mean ask them / us things like: How do you approach the editing task? What's the funniest mistake you've ever found? Any pet peeves? (like you're for your and vice versa) Any blind spots? (mine would be commas )
  20. Hi Jeffrey, you're absolutely right. The story first posted on LitE but since I've left that place due to lack of response to my stories, it's not being updated there. I've also revised and added to the story. I hope you'll enjoy this version, and I look forward to hearing your opinion. Thank you for the kind words so far.
  21. Yes it sort of did, didn't it? Jasper is used to locker room banter, and he's happy to indulge in some mutual teasing of his best friend. He just doesn't want any details, but then neither does Nelson. for all the reviews, I'll catch up eventually. Don't want to keep me from writing chapters, do we?
  22. I can't believe I missed answering to this review. sorry about that Drew. Good thing droughtquake is tearing through the story and leaving reviews left and right. Thank you for the congratulations and yes you're right about the conversation between Nelson and his parents. lots of but I think he may decide it's worth it.

    Chapter 24

Aaww, so FLUFFY Loved it ! But Sifta will be so upset if they leave the gang after this, and Liam would miss Mr. Fluffy. Nice to see a good orphanage where the kids are happy and have good hopes of parents. I think Phen may want to dress up occasionally from now on, with the reaction he got from Mycha Lots of good hints for future chapters, the grey people, the twins, and of course rescuing Nix. Can't wait.
  24. That's OK, I couldn't agree more. AC does the same for me. Especially the 'sentences glued with commas' part
  25. Lots of great questions, and I look forward to the answers. I'll have to come back tomorrow, since I need to go to bed and nurse my cold. Have a great Monday night, and congrats on the CSR feature, tim.
