  1. As i read the first two or three sentences, a quite different scenario was in my head, as I'm sure you intended, LOL. But I enjoyed the description of them working on the car and driving home in the rain. In the seventies my mother had a car with bad wipers and worse defogging system, and she had to keep wiping the front window in rainy weather and on frosty nights. I'm not too worried about Mikey's dad, I think he can be distracted by car repair tales, and he's too kind to pressure or embarrass his son. I liked the way Denny shows his appreciation of Greg so openly, praising him both in private and in front of the other boys. I know Denny has special issues, but in fact Greg needs his boyfriend to be just this way. He has longed for someone to want him and care about him in particular, and Denny gives him that. I think Jay's parents would like Greg's mum and dad, do they know each other? Benny and Cal almost made me blush, it's a good thing they're only surrounded by couples. I laughed along with Greg when Jay threw them all out soon after. I look forward to hearing more about all these great couples.

    Chapter 14

I was quite happy to see Dorian stand up to both Dr. Avery and Jade. Now I see the purpose of Jade, it's so Dorian has someone safe to practice having a backbone on.

    Chapter 13

Running away, disowning his parents and cutting up his credit card is supposed to made Dorian more mature and less of a Doormat? But I'm vey pleased he stood up to Jade and refused to listen to her, and that he ditched the company of his so-called friends in order to work in a place where they don't know who he is.

    Chapter 2

Interesting that Simn and Landynhave no idea what is going on, either. Diarmad is walling himself away from everyone. He may have used this tactic before with staff but is he unaware how separation will affect his mate bond? Spikey, I don't think anyone is manipulating Noël. What they mean is that Luis is a calming influence on Noël's natural temper, lending him more patience and understanding than a normal teen would have. We witnessed it when Noël didn't have the fit he was all ready to throw when he went into D's study. Unfortunately, his original plan might have been better, since he is now being avoided by D. But why didn't anyone inform him of the invitation? I agree with you that they are all more loyal to the King than to his Mate. Logical in one way but wrong too. They know how important Noël is to the King's well-being, so they should want to help him in every way. But guess they are trying to convince D to talk to his Mate. If Landyn is fired by the King, perhaps Noël can employ him?
  7. Thanks, Def, you're right about Mr. A. although he got the support of the church goers not the church. But maybe the vicar would have been in agreement with him. Keep up the good vibes for Michael and Fiona, she should be up next - after some brief hospital stuff. Imp will be Imp and a tease forever, but Angel doesn't seem to care. glad you found the love scene hot.
  8. LOL, Drew, you're right, Mrs Hawthorn did indeed get burned as she uttered her stupid thoughts in front of the wrong person. Of course, since she'd never really seen Mr. Archibald associate with Patrick and didn't know about his connections to Patrick's parents, she may have assumed he disapproved of their mutual neighbor. But one good thing about being and old grumpy Scot is not being afraid to speak your mind. Fiona and hospital stuff should be up next, but I'm sorry to say I haven't started the chapter yet. Too much other (good) stuff happening right now. I'm sort of sad to see the A.I. team leave too, but hopefully I can revisit them in another setting. But I won't keep this story going till Michael grows up.
  9. Thanks, Drew, I love to make you 'Aww!* and I'm pleased you saw the interactions between Michael and his new Papa as proof of what I intended: to show their bonding. I'm sure it makes Peter very happy too. I agree about the Finnish, btw. You're an eternal optimist, Drew, but let's hope you are right about Peter's mum. After all, the mom of LL's Corey finally saw the truth about her husband, so miracles still happen. Meanwhile, Peter may be excused for not wanting her near Michael.

    Chapter 13

I hope Wu is properly contrite after this conversation. And that's both towards Lauren and Ross. Wu was wrong and I think his behavior Monday in school was disgusting. Poor Ross even seemed to think he deserved it and that it was his fault, but I think Wu was being a huge drama queen acting all hurt and basically threathening to end their friendship. What a selfish twit. Even his girlfriend was embarrassed about his acting. I know you say Wu is a loyal friend and that may be the case, but he's pretty oblivious and dumb. Fancy Ross having to explain why Stuart threathening to out him is a problem! And I'm not only thinking of the AFL issues, but in general. Outing someone against their will is nasty and cruel, but Wu is puzzled rather than disgusted, as if it was no big deal. Maybe it isn't to him, because he accepts Ross no matter what, but this simply shows how egocentric he is. 'I don't feel it makes any difference to our friendship, so why would Ross be upset about people knowing he's gay?' What an idiot ! Sorry, I'll stop ranting about Wu, although it's sort of fun. The rest of the chapter was great, with the Lilydales still acting as support group for Ross. We saw another glimpse of Ty's hurt over not being drafted and of Peter having his own ideas but keeping a low profile. I love how you keep mingling real life football 'sensations' into the story. Oh, and of course we all hope Stuart will stay gone. But at least he made Ross come out to his mum and got him a group of friends who care about him and his football career.

    Chapter 13

Wow, I can't believe Jason was able to hold back now his dreams suddenly came true. But perhaps it was lucky the light came back just then? At least they have both admitted to the mutual attraction, even if neither of them have dared to even think the L word. Although Corey is thinking about 'gving his heart' to Jason. There are plenty of things to discuss, even without the complications of Corey's mum. Are they now openly in a romantic relationship? IE will Jason tell Drew and Corey his mother and Pierre? Are they able to be honest about how long they've had feelings for each other? About their fears of taking it further and risking their friendship if it doesn't work out? Are they both versatile? How long before they can get naked and touch each other (never mind full-on sex)? As usual I loved how you made eveything happen naturally and all the small details which showed how they felt about the situation and each other. Espcially how Jason felt hurt about Corey's joke about missing sex, but also the M&Ms memory, Corey ogling Jase's ass, both of them enoying reading together, being shy about touching the next day.

    Chapter 12

I was chuckling through most of this chapter. Corey wanted Jase to rescue him from boredom, he misses him and rushes straight to Jase's place. He remarks on his friend's domestic skills and tells him he's glad Jase moved to Kingston. He finally falls asleep cuddled up to Jase and seems almost happy the snow prevents him from going home. How much more obvious can he be? lol Jase is already there, although he denies it when Drew teases him about it. And after the snow 'fight' he finally admits to himself Corey has his heart. But what will he do about it? And is Corey's comment about them both being more mature now a sign that they can take the next step in their relationship? I hope they are snowed in together for a couple of days. Will Jase offer Corey his bed or does he have a spare bedroom? Or will they walk to Corey's place to get him some clothes and decide to stay there for the time being? My guess is the opening gambit of the talk they need will be Jason asking Corey if he wants to spend Christmas together.
  16. Reprieve - such a good title for this chapter and applicable to several situations. Of course the first case was the one I feared, that someone would find our boys in bed together. But thankfully they were allowed to wake up and deal with their closeness and the awkward truth of how they both feel. No reprieve there, only Kellar's sad acceptance 'it is what it is.' Yet that sentence could also be used by Tobyn if he would only draw the right conclusion and act accordingly. But not yet... The second reprieve was Kellar being rescued from unwanted attention from other pack members. They are genuinely happy, grateful and welcoming, but of course this only adds to his pain. Then a thrid reprieve is avoiding the upsetting of Elinor by saying he is leaving, but this reprieve won't be for long - even if Tobyn tries to extend it. But of course the most important reprieve is deciding to stay two more days in Tobyn's company. Kellar certainly does not want to leave his new friend and Tobyn doesn't want him to. They are both trying to come up with ways to stay in touch, in spite of Kellar saying he needs to get over his attraction. Now that we readers know is futile, but the boys have yet to realize. So I guess they sort of got a reprieve from that moment too - and another chance to hold each other while sleeping. In spite of the inherent pain, this was a great chapter. Sorry about the lateness of my review.
  17. Thanks, Fae, I'm glad you found your way over here to read the background stody of Angel and Imp. I don't know the reference, but I'll check Good Omens out to see if it's a compliment. Thanks for reading and reviewing.
  18. Indeed I do, and I'm happy about it. So nice to have other blog reviewers on the team. A to Z is a great story and deserves every word of praise.

    Chapter 1

So a year has passed since they mated? And I'm guessing Noël has been back to school all that time? What does he tell his school mates about who he lives with? Not the truth of course, and I bet nothing to indicate he's as good as married. So Kristof naturally assumes D. is Dad, which is why he called him Mr. Carmichael. Probably pissed Diarmad off even more and added to his jealousy, since Noël may not act as happy and carefree in his presence. I just went back to read the first story again and I noticed Noël had plans to show his mate they were equals, including topping him. But more importantly not letting Diarmad control every aspect of his life, and I'm hoping we'll see more of that. Simon was looking forward to their fights. I am too and I bet Noël will surprise his mate again and again. Oh and we need to know what has happened in the past year, including what Noël's family knows. Does he still deceive them with the fake apartment?

    Chapter 12

I think Warwick made the right decision. If he had said yes to sex, Kevin would have scratched his itch and moved on. This way they can become friends and close enough for Kevin to work out whether he cares enough for Warwick to be his long-term boyfriend rather than a short-term fuck buddy. I'm sure Warwick can find a job in Sydney, if Kevin decides he wants to give them a chance. But I'm guessing this will be a long slow development and the outcome may still be friends only, with Kevin finding someone else to scratch his itch with. I only hope it isn't another of Warwick's friends from yesterday. Henry's wife was clever and I liked Henry's integrity concerning the Lilydale Leopards. He seems like a good guy, but of course I still prefer Julie. Wu should listen to his clever girlfriend. She has already told him why Ross is keeping secrets from his best friend. I don't think Wu has any right to be angry about it, I certainly don't tell my close friends everything, not even my best friend. Ross has good and compelling reasons to be in the closet, and if Wu can't see that he's just confirmed to me how pushy and selfish he is. It's all about him most of the time: He wants Ross to date a girl, so he can avoid facing the truth (which his girlfriend spotted very quickly). He insisted on going to meet Ross after the combine even though Ross had explicitly asked him not to. He feels betrayed and angry and blames it all on Ross rather than ask what he might be doing wrong, since Ross feels the need to keep matters secret. Enough about Wu, I'll move on to another crappy friend: Stuart, who hopefully got the hint about staying the fuck away from Ross. I'm not sure whether it's better to send him home in a cab or let Dave drive him. We don't want Dave to go overboard in letting his anger out, and Stuart should be intimidated enough to keep his mouth shut. The best part about the whole event was the brat telling Ross he is part of the Leopard family now. Great chapter, and I loved hw Neil and Liam worked out what was going on with Ross. He'll be surprised at how friendly they suddenly may become towards him.

    Left Waiting

I seem to be the only reader who is grateful you let us have this chapter with Simon. I don't care about Toby, except I hope he has learned a lesson about not using people, but Simon needed to tell Toby about every single hurt and see him mortified and genuinely sorry. It brought Simon some much neded peace of mind together with his surprising conclusion about actually maybe coming to like his cut dick. While I seriously doubt any teen would feel that way if they've been entire before (more on this in the discussion forum), it's a good development storywise. I'm happy Simon seems to be on the road to recovery, both mentally and physically. He'll need all his strength in the hours to come. But I wish Toby and his mom had left before the police came, although I guess Lucy might benefit from having Grace there. Especially if she is confronted with Luke being (called) gay and attacked by Ryan's father due to this. To me Simon is a more important and interesting character than Luke, but of course I'm still anxious to see the continuation of the merging story line.
  22. I didn't manage to finish my 510 prompt in time but hopefully before next Friday.
  23. Thanks for the wonderful review - and for the awesome ToD chapter you just posted. Made my day Good point about the bad neighbors not deserving to be bought out. But maybe Mr. Archibald's pulic shaming of her attitude will give them the push to move? Yup, the discrete helping out with the kittens was typical Matt - I mean Patrick. Candy Crush is addictive indeed, but not as much as cuddling with his hunky blond Viking. Glad you liked that part as well, including the laughing which was a small but important detail to me. Everyone seems to have fingers crossed for Michael, so I'm sure all will be well, and I think your instincts are good about Fiona. Now that I'm done with answering all the great reviews left by my wonderful readers, I'll get back to writing on these topics. Oh, I almost forgot - thanks for mentioning the A.I. team. They may be done here, but I have plans to tell more of their story for the next Anthology. Stay tuned...
  24. Thanks, dragon, glad you felt this chapter had things happen even if we didn't progress much timewise. LOL, I hadn't thought about the Fiona meeting as being 'dragged out' since I felt it was arranged at the earliest possible time, but I guess I have been building up to this for a while. I expect it to happen in chapter 19, if that's any comfort? I've been looking forward to posting Mr. Archibald's speech, so I'm at the positive response from y'all.
