    Home and Away

Oh no, they won't get to see the fountain display. But I guess they can come back another day. Geoff should suggest his ex-mother go to a home where she can be looked after. If she expects him to help so she can stay in her home, he can make it a condition she doesn't sell his house, but lets it to him. She has more to lose than he does. But of course, he's much too kind to stay firm with her.
  2. Diarmad learned a good lesson, and Noel grew up and had a normal happy human life with a guy who loved him. I think it was the perfect ending - and I look forward to the epilogue.
  3. It was a good idea to have just four stories at a time. I enjoyed all of them and am looking forward to next weeks installment.

    Tomorrow

As a Dane there is no way I can comment on the topic of this story without offending a lot of USA citizens. You'll have to solve this crazy problem on your own. But it's a well-written story.
  5. It would also be nice with a small side dish of how they also try to prevent even more plants and animals from going extinct. To me that would show humans being finally mature enough for the next stage - reaching for the stars. Otherwise, we'd simply go out there and destroy other planets too.

    Chapter 13

I'm very pleased Kris and Noel had a long happy life together. They both deserved that and it was a good way to make Noel more equal to D. by getting his own life experiences. Poor Keith, I'm sad about him and Lionel. I wonder what his task is, maybe guarding Kristof to make sure no one got to Noel by killing his partner.
  7. Awesome sci-fi story. I have to admit, you had me worried with the 'fathers' news, in case they didn't survive. I hope the human population was kept at a much lower level to reduce the resource need and allow more space for nature.

    Their Story

I guess Jack should be at least partly grateful for his niece's help, since he would have met Mukisa otherwise. But it's still satisfying to think of him giving a mental fuck finger to the busybodies when he moves into his new home. And he might be more comfortable having Tommy visit, than if he was in his and Gabe's home.
  9. For new readers : visit the blog review about Book 1 to find out why the story has fans waiting eagerly.
  10. I'll rant at you about this topic any time you want. Just ask the poor authors who accidentally included it - especially in a story I'm editing. @lomax61
  11. Thanks I first sent Renee a one word reply - but later I decided to add the explanation. And I really do stop reading in most cases - or skip the liking and commenting.
  12. I know I've asked this before, but I've done a bit of testing. When we edit our comments in stories and posts in forums, GA blogs, and club topics, we have the option to write something in the Reason for edit box. I think it also used to be in status updates, but no longer, which makes sense, because you couldn't see what you wrote. My test shows: If you write in the Reason for edit box in Forums (including Chat) and in Clubs you can see the content. Anything written in the Reason for edit box in GA blogs or in comments in stories isn't visible. Is this an ongoing bug or a feature we have to live with ? The main reason I'm asking is that I like the Reason for edit box and the funny things people write. So for adding it in the big update, and I hope we'll get to use it in more places.
  13. I wonder if his ears got stuck when he tried to retreat. I bet it was funny afterwards, but not at the time.
  14. I'm trying to think where you wrote a funny post about this, but I'll probably have to go snoop in your activity stream. Duh - in Ask an Author of course.
  15. I'd like to add to my editor answer that if the blind spot is bad enough that you can't find the problem even when you look for it, then tell your editor so we know. I used to every time @AC Benus wrote barley instead of barely, until he told me it was one of the few dyslexia issues he hadn't been able to get rid off by hard work. His writing is so good I hadn't even considered this explanation.

    Chapter Fourteen

Somehow I hope it will be better this way. Jen can have a fit and yell at them, get all the anger out at once. She's entitled to feel betrayed, but on the other hand she hasn't really made it easy for Noah to tell her anything.

    Daniel

Maybe Daniel could borrow a T-shirt which Michael has worn and sleep with that as a comfort. But it would be embarrassing to ask. I can understand why Daniel didn't tell about Loz right then, but he'll have to do so, if Loz tries anything when he gets back.
  18. Well, he was here at GA on November 11th, so I guess we'll have to hope for the best. @Jwolf how about popping in here and say hello - even if you have no news about the story.
  19. Hey buddy, just thought you might want to know your story (Soul Mates) has been sitting at the number one spot of the Top Stories list on the main Forum page for quite a while now. I know you don't visit the forum pages much, and you probably won't be able to see it, but I hope the fact makes you happy. It deserves to be there btw.

    Three Things

Ahh, those regrets, they continue to plague us, don't they. Beautifully written, Thorn.
  21. I have read all kinds of literature from Dickens to Donaldson - but sci-fi and fantasy remains my favorite. I'm in awe of authors who can create a whole new world. But I can see the advantage of trying different genres as a writer. are we by any chance talking about the Danish author Hans Christian Andersen (with an e) ? https://satwcomic.com/costume-party
  22. Uhm, Gary - you know that's where your children are heading, right ? Worrying about their dad falling off ladders etc.

    Santa's Visit

Hey Carlos, how come this is no longer Colt and Tony ? Not that the story isn't great in this version too. And I still have to concentrate to work out who says what, especially in the last part. Jordan is the blond farmer boy from Iowa, right ?

    Grandma's 80th

LOL, not if he pretended to be getting married to a Denny or Benny or Kenny instead of Wendy.
