    Last things first; I would hazard a guess. I believe the answer is that I landed on your radar, and for whatever reason, I am glad that I did. Rano, I very much appreciate the review. I fussed over the title; it is nice to know that it was a good fit. Thanks for noticing the little things that begin to crowd into Sam's mind. More 'Sam and Jeremy' coming soon, but as a stand-alone tale.

    Hello Northerner! Welcome to GA. I'll let the folks from your neck of the woods identify themselves (meaning, yes, they're here), but as you know already, the membership is a diverse one.

    I just renewed my Premium Access for another year. Why? Partly, because I haven't read all of the content available to me, including Challenging Fate, but mostly, because I think GA is worth supporting. I can't think of a better place to write for, read from, and that has a better community. Can you?

    Hello, welcome to GA. The classic authors are a great place to start but some of the newer authors are putting out great writing too. For paranormal and country you might try Sasha Distan; then there's CassieQ, Thorn Wilde, Cole Matthews, K.C., Graeme, and Daddydavek who has a great sci-fi story going right now, and many, many others to choose from. (If I didn't mention you, it doesn't mean I don't love ya.) GA is a fantastic place to be a member!

    Kids today are much more forward thinking and if they're not informed on this topic, at least information is accessible. It didn't used to be. A former neighbor went through this many years ago and it took a long time for his son to come to terms with it. They have a great relationship now. Your use of the GSA in the story was wisely included. But you've also given us the sense that the relationship between father and son was a good one to begin with. Without that, this story would have taken a different turn, I'm thinking. Still, there is the wife; I'm not insensitive to that but it isn't the focus of this story. You've done good, Cole.
