    Chapter 18

I really enjoyed this story. I can see Peter and Alan getting married and either becoming foster parents or adopting their own kids. There's definitely lots of room for sequels or even a story about Keidan and Steve... hint hint And I agree with the judge about ice cream.
  2. It'll be March before you know it.

    Chapter 8

Loved it. I'm glad that Ryan finally figured out what made him so uncomfortable about being filmed with Erik. These two are smitten, that's for sure. I thought it was cute how Erik snuggled right up to Ryan. I can't wait to read more.
  4. Thanks, Emi. I'm glad you liked it. Thanks for leaving a review!
  5. Yes, that was the idea. It's nice in theory, even if it doesn't come true in this lifetime. Thanks for the review.
  6. Thanks, tim. I'm glad you liked them both. I appreciate the review.
  7. Thank you so much
  8. I'm with Puppi. It depends on what I'm writing. In texts, emails, or messaging with friends, I write any variation of lol, LOL, LMAO, etc. If I'm writing a story, I describe the laughter. I will very rarely write "ha ha ha" or something like that, unless the character actually said it. "Ha. Ha. You're so funny." I rolled my eyes. I erupted in laughter. The joke wasn't that funny, but the look on his face was priceless. John's body shook with silent laughter. He covered his mouth with his hand, trying to suppress a giggle. If I am writing texts or emails that a character sent, then I will use text speak or the appropriate informal language.
  9. I couldn't find any stories when I searched using 'sci-fi' and 'transgender' tags. Cia writes some great sci-fi stories and Mann Ramblings 'Santa Claus' stories are a great read, so I'd recommend checking those out.
  10. Thanks so much, Gary. I'm glad you liked it.
  11. Thanks for such a thoughtful review. I'm glad you liked it. It's nice to know that my earlier poems still have an impact. Thanks for your thoughts and support!

    To My Disease

You made me cry, too. I don't have a review... just lots of and
  13. Poem #1: A simple smile holds enough power to change perception. Poem #2 Reincarnate I dream us together, Talking softly over tea On a rainy afternoon. We knew each other once In the before-time Our now-conscious Makes us forget. But our souls do not. Our first hello Was much more Than a polite greeting. “Glad to meet you.” Even though we’ve met Many lifetimes before. Our dream selves dance in happy recognition. Then, remembering that real time Is not the same
  14. It's very sweet and I like the form. The boy would have been lucky to receive it. Thanks for sharing. Happy Valentine's Day!

    Valentine

Lovely, as always. The second one reminds me very much of something I wrote many years ago (although yours is much better ). I'll have to dig it out and possibly post it. Happy Valentine's Day, Parker.

    Backstage Tryst

This was a great little peek into these guys' lives. You told us a lot by not telling us much. Your mastery of 'showing' vs 'telling' is quite good. I'm dying to know their backstory, but at the same time satisfied with the snippet you shared. Great job.

    Mind's Prison

This should be set to music, Sam. I can see this being a big hit. I can relate to being a prisoner of my mind. The ending was filled with hope. Nicely done.
  18. Happy Valentine's Day to my GA friends and family! Here's a cake for all to enjoy, whether you're celebrating with a special someone, or your cats.
  19. O.o
  20. Thanks for the great review, spikey. There were a lot of great stories for this contest, and Jager totally deserved the win. I'll have to re-read some of these.

    Flying O Ranch

Another great chapter I'm also wondering if Jack recognized him and what the repercussions might be. We knew Jack probably wouldn't react well, but damn... Refusing to pay Travis is pretty low. You have me thinking about Jack's motivation. Does he really have feelings for Travis or is it more of a control thing? Ben was brave to diffuse the situation they way he did. The next chapter should prove pretty interesting.
  22. I didn't know pink pickles existed, either. lol Cute poem.
  23. Everybody has their own system and what works for one, doesn't work for another. Don't worry about what anyone else does; just do what works for you. You are a good writer, so whatever you've been doing is working (and I don't say that lightly). I very rarely plot things out. I'll write a basic outline, or some notes about where I want the story to go, but for the most part I just sit down and write. Sometimes it flows smoothly, but the majority of time I need prodding as well. lol I have attention issues, so that doesn't help. Oh look... something shiny!
  24. Yikes! Glad that you're ok and that you found your cards. Hopefully that cop was just having a bad day. Nothing like adding stress to an already stressful situation.
  25. Like quite a few people have already said, doctors are frequently wrong. I admire you so much. Even though I don't know you well, what I have seen is a strong, intelligent, sweetheart of a man who hasn't let adversity win. The world would be a much better place with more people like you in it. We are all here for you in whatever capacity you need... so vent, post or not your writing, but don't stop writing. It's in your blood and a great outlet. Even if you never share what you write now, it may be what you need to get through this. At any rate, lots of from me. Prove them wrong. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
