    I was just reading an article on new trends in cooking here in Sweden and guess what? One of the chefs claimed Irish moss was one of her favourites at the moment. From never heard of it to reading about it two times in a short time. Weird...

    Speaking of kids and funny questions, I do agree with you Tim, that it's the parents in many cases that are responsible for any prejudice in the kids' minds. However, growing up kids have to take in so much information about the world, that it's a wonder their heads don't explode. Because of this, they have to categorise the world in what's normal and what's not. By normal I mean things you can expect to encounter in everyday life. Since so much is new to them every day, their brains have to make certain assumptions about the world and sadly still today we don't see that many same sex couples. Therefore, a lot of kids find the idea of boys liking boys and girls liking girls foreign to them. They just don't see it enough, in their regular life, on tv etc. My 7 year old was for instance very confused about Conchita, the Austrian performer, and couldn't really accept that it doesn't matter if it's a guy or a girl. In her mind, she needs to have things sorted. Otherwise, she won't know what to expect. I welcomed the discussion, but I think too many parents might find it uncomfortable to even broach the subject. Then that vicious circle continues. I'm not sure my ramblings make any sense. I hope I didn't offend anyone...

It's not from the movie, but inspired by it. A recovering sculptor made it to overcome his illness. I think he was depressed and watched the movie, got all excited (as you get from 90's Mel) and started carving. I've seen it up close and it is hideous. There's no other way to put it. But I like the story behind it. If he got better, then it's not so bad.

    The best quote ever is also from Brothers Lionheart: "Det finns saker man måste göra, även om det är farligt. Annars är man ingen människa utan bara en liten lort” There are things you have to do, even if it's dangerous. Otherwise, you aren't a human, only a piece of filth. Not quite sure of the translation, but it sums up the need for everyone to show curage. Not just designated "heroes".

    Oh, Brothers Lionheart! I don't even have to wait for the final scene. I start crying my eyes out at the first bar of the opening credits... It's like a Pavlovian response. I cry at commercials sometimes if I'm in that mood, but with this movie, mood doesn't matter. Another movie that made me totally ugly-cry is La vita e bella. That second half just had me bawling. Not pretty at all.

    It was funny and sweet getting to see Arron preparing for their date. It's not just us girls panicking over what to wear. They are both so starved for love. I hope they take the time to get to know each other. A few more misunderstandings might cause these scardy cats to simply end it before they get to the good stuff.

    What is going on? The furry alien seems to know something Kyle doesn't. Why would Jim want to send him away if he is so important and useful to find out... what..? Is Jim actually trying to save Kyle by having him shipped off? I'm looking forward to the next chapter! This is getting good!

    Such a sad ending! What happened to Thomas? Did he get sick? A lonely life for Martin, even if he has Casey. Also, badar means bathing in Swedish. Seems fitting for Casey!

    Damn wolves! That's really not helping Sasha's trust issues. I can't help feeling like Liv and Lucas have something or someone to make the wolves do this. Sasha's powers must be greater than he thinks. Why else would he be taken like this? Hopefully the mental text got through and Nick can come to the rescue.

    But is it such a good idea for Neil to get involved with yet another semi-straight guy? Is he not setting himself up for more of the same? Will KbR be joined by EffingCam? But I'm glad the chapter ended on somewhat of a high note. Neil needs to be a bit happy and since anonymous sex doesn't really do it for him any more, Cam might cheer him up.

    I would expect nothing less than a shocking and appalling prompt. Hmm... Suddenly, the words steamy, groceries, Frozen and sandwich combined with an evil grin makes me worry the prompt will be about a barbecue. But I'm sure you mentioned sex. Or have my dirty mind played tricks on me?
