What a beautiful chapter! So special to see this friendship form before our eyes. The tendrils of hope of another life slowly growing. I expect Andy will learn a lot from this. It's so important to not forget our history.

So, now they fight... I'll be biting my nails until the next chapter. And jumping to conclusions is never a good idea... Usually doesn't lead you into the arms of a traitorous champion of your enemy, but still bad.

He needs food, even if it's scary. I hope he realizes he can learn to feed with care and not do a stupid thing like waiting until he's famished.

So now they can work together to find the parties responsible. Would mean a lot of contact. Close contact to keep Kohen from being the next victim. Could make for an intense setup...

Nice to see him stand up for himself, finally. Crappy jobs aren't worth it. Though eating and having a place to live can make them necessary. -
What a life to live to feel responsible for someone who really should take care of himself? Not a fair deal at all.

Yep, decision time is approaching fast. Limbo is not a good place to be. I can understand Ryan's reasoning, but I think he should talk directly with Erik and explain how he wants them to be together. Maybe they can find another place to live? Compromise? Then again, Toronto isn't the end of the world. With a bit of work, they can make it work for both of them.

The sounds of a stable! It relaxes me too in an instant. I could be a little twisted, but I like the smell too. I hope they talk soon, Galen and Josh. They are both carrying around too much emotion and it's going to come out one way or another.

Trusting others. Fully trusting others. So difficult and scary. Kirra will need to take it in steps and hopefully his fellow soldiers will see the hurt in him and give him space.

Will be interesting to see them all get to know each other. Seeing someone through the eyes of their friend is an interesting experience. It adds a whole new layer and can reveal so much.

They have quite a few obstacles to overcome. Is attraction enough to make it worth while? Deeper feelings take time to develop.

Even the toughest of us have a soft spot for someone. Styx is special to Godani, it should feel good. Rebellious as he is. Unkraut vergeht nicht. Fasha will return from the depth.

As stated before, power corrupts. Salidar thinks he's acting all for Max, but in truth he chases power and is unable to see Max and his needs. Dogo could perhaps fix things...

Scary with a swarm of hypnotising wasps! I shudder at the thought. Insects in large groups are not my thing... Strange though how Lakshou was affected by the swarm. With his abilities, I'd expect him to be immune more or less.

Josh may be a bit hurt Galen's breakthrough came by aid of Eddie, but I think he'll soon realize without his everyday care that breakthrough wouldn't have been possible. So therapy is the way to go. Scary but necessary.

For me, it's the juxtaposition of the two men that gives the story such an interesting dynamic. I guess Eric is a bit old to be "saved", but he can still enjoy getting to know someone of his own flock and perhaps feel accepted for who he is. Though it's not easy. Especially when it's such an odd couple.The struggle to bridge that void strike a chord in me and makes me want to comment.

Finally, a meeting between the two. Andy worked hard on listening. Eric even dared to be vulnerable, though perhaps that was unexpected for him. He relaxed enough to let down his guard. High praise indeed.

OK, another bit of Swedish trivia: Kirra actually is slang for fixing something. So, my guess is he'll be part of fixing problems in this world. Power can corrupt and it seems the Knights perhaps aren't immune...

So I foresee a mission back to rescue Mars...? From whatever is affecting him. First I thought they should leave the kits, but they might need them if kids are unaffected.

LOL I'm such a terrible person, but I must admit I love that you fell for my little trickery! I'm glad you picked those three words, because they were pretty much the ones I had running through my mind while writing, as I tried to infuse the story with that feeling. The variation of stories is also my favorite thing about these short story challenges. A freeing way to write.

What a beautiful way to reconnect! Perhaps Ra was sure of his likes because he already knew...? I wonder if Casey will change appearance if he can go back to his own realm? Or will he stay a 17 yo? And just what is his relationship to his wife? Will their party be the scene of an inter-realm duel? That could be interesting...
