Commune with nature... I understand Kohen's hesitance. Good thing he recorded the vid, but when will he send it?

I think if the story is thought through in terms of consistency and logic, I can take pretty much anything. If the MC has a knack for getting out of trouble by suddenly presenting a new gadget ("Oh, don't worry! My vapo-neurolizer will deal with that space monster ASAP." Reaches into back-pack.) then I lose interest, but more because the plot isn't worked through. The more "unreal" the more work. So if you want to go far out there, do the work!

MetaPrompts 622: News (MW9)
Puppilull commented on JohnAR's story chapter in MetaPrompts 622: News (MW9)
Now this was all kinds of YAY! The ending had me go "More! Sequel!". But I doubt my puppy eyes work all that well. Emma finally getting dealt with was brutal, but she should have learned her lesson a long time ago. No messing with that pack! -
MetaPrompts 620: Cash (MW2)
Puppilull commented on JohnAR's story chapter in MetaPrompts 620: Cash (MW2)
What a past! Doing what is needed to survive, but an unexpected choice. Silly Prime thinking he can have secrets. For very long, at least. -
Oh, how infinitely sad...

Very sweet! I love how they dared to take that step (sort of, someone needed a little help...) and now they stand to gain a whole lot more!

LOL I feel prompt 649 could have been chapter 2 of Thaw. Lucas and his big ears...
-
I have written a few rather explicit and (if I say so myself) hot sex scenes. While I try to keep the sex in character, I must say your post has made me wonder if I haven't followed your advice about writing just what I find hot myself. In Thaw, I most certainly did. Of my two MCs, I relate the closest to Joel. I don't think I even wrote a scene from Lucas' POV. In my first attempt at writing something hot, I did it as an experiment. Just to see if I could write sex and not have it being ridiculous. In that story as well, the person controlling POV is also on the submissive side of things. Perhaps I should try to write differently and see what happens? Maybe I'll find I can't get into it.

The continuing labor of love - to see the person before you as they are, not how you perceive them. While struggling to do so, you learn so much about yourself. If you dare to look.

I cried while reading this. I can never, never, NEVER understand parents acting like complete and utter asshats to their kids like that. And his siblings! What warped minds chooses a god over a brother? What god would ever ask that? The heavy responsibility religion has for ruining people's lives is a major cause I can never become religious. They cause too much pain and hatred. Erik will pull through, somehow, since he's not alone. He has Ryan, but he also has his friends. They may be a little pissed at him for acting like an idiot, but they will not give up on him. As for who he is? He is all those things. A driven film producer, wanting to turn out his very best work. A gay boy looking for a place to call home. A fun friend who can light up a party. No need to choose one thing. Except a place to live...

The talk between Ben and Clay brought tears to my eyes. So beautiful to see them bond. The mystery gets more intricate. Who is the other guy? What is up with the item list? Things on there that could be clues as well. Have fun on your trip! Sounds amazing!

I can understand Tony not eating to get fussed over, but he should realize Geoff will get worried. The only cure is knowledge. Maybe he should teach Geoff to give injections? Involve him more in an emergency plan? And i fully agree with Geoff. Bathrooms are private. Even after 25 years and two births, there are certain things I don't wish to share with hubby.

Both out looking. Both getting derailed or disappointed? Hell really is hell, it seems. I get frustrated only reading about it.

That was some epilogue! Or prologue! An eprologue! Hmm... That sounds slightly icky, but nevermind. I'll look forward to the next book!

More palyers for our stage. Another young man trying to make a difference in the world where he lives. Sounds like he could be a powerful enemy or ally. When our three boys meet, will they change the worlds together?

Well, good on Max for figuring out keeping Styx as a pet would be a very bad idea. A free flying hawk can't be happy locked up. It might return to the perch, though... Then Max can prove just how different from his father he really is.

Hmm... I think I have a two part series that need to be connected. Just need to find a name (and I guess ask someone to do it since it's antho stories...)

Evil plans in motion? Or a misinterpreted snippet of conversation? I doubt Kohen trusts the others enough to speak out about this.

Baked goods can hold a mighty power over you... Sometimes, surrender is sweet! It sort of came to me when I was trying to figure out how to write this and not get in trouble with GA rules... Hard to find truly forbidden love these days. Perhaps you should be glad cake doesn't rule your life...? LOL A drool emoji!! My work here is done, even if it's for another reason than usual... Clever man! I guess certain foods are the closest to drug addiction I will ever be. So no need to smoke the wall paper... It doesn't have to be chocolate. Other things put in your mouth can be just as enticing... I'm glad you liked it! Never eaten one of those eggs, but they sound like I would appreciate getting to know them better. I'm happy you enjoyed my attempt at funny! Cake is good for you. Of that I'm sure. Not only cake perhaps, but still part of a balanced diet. Yay! I like to trick my readers, at least for a little while. I can confess to loving chocolate as well. Maybe not to the point of obsession like my MC, but close. I'm glad you enjoyed it! Hope you got some chocolate... I'm glad you had fun! That was the aim of this one. All my other possible forbidden loves would have never gotten passed the rules... Yeah, seems the theme invited a more serious approach in the others. I went for silly. I hope your carrot cake hit the spot! Can someone deliver? I'm a bit far away... Food can be ever so insistent on attention as supernatural beings. I'm glad you enjoyed it! It's satisfying in a less chocolatey way to fool at least some... I'm happy you enjoyed it!

Oh, that's a surprise! A king from another realm...? Or still simply delusional? Ra is having almost as much difficulty understanding Casey's lack of understanding as Casey has of grasping what he's been told. If it's true, the mage must be very powerful. Who can it be? Will it make for an interesting party? A goodopportunity to strike. Lots of people and noise.

Where do I go from here?
Puppilull commented on Timothy M.'s story chapter in Where do I go from here?
Sometimes, you need to make a drastic change and be daring to win much more. Laryn will be happier when he can truly be himself. -
Religion and society's use of it should be held accountable for a lot of misery through the years... Breaks my heart to think about it.

I shudder to think of the consequences of her defection, but it would be unfair to place the burden of guilt on their heads. It belongs squarely to the regime forcing people act in secret. I hope they have a good life together!

This simply demands a sequel! I want to know all about Rob and Ignacio and their future! The temptation, the stolen looks and kisses, the watchful eye of Mother...

Wow... This was intense, upsetting and hopeful in a strange blend. I so hope Missy and Boy made it somewhere better, even if safe could be asking too much. What horrors that lurk around us... And then suddenly someone doing an act of decency.
