It is a melancholy tale as Parker noted, but it's also thought provoking and beautifully written. The words ring true for everyone, I believe. Will any of us really be seen after we're gone and, if so, where?

Who Wants Another Winter Holiday Story Contest Again
Reader1810 replied to W_L's topic in The Lounge
I wasn't a part of GA two years ago and I'm not a writer. But, as a reader, I think it sounds like a great idea. -
Sweet story to brighten a rainy day. James, Faris and Larry are always a welcome treat. I just see Larry swiping the icing and beating a hasty retreat. I had a dog like that though he stole ice cream and gobbled it down - poor thing even got that dreaded nose pain and went crossed eyed trying to look at his nose. Nicely done Tim.

Prompt 433 Where did all of that come from?
Reader1810 commented on Timothy M.'s story chapter in Prompt 433 Where did all of that come from?
I must admit, I was almost shocked by the description of Rob's room. I expected the trophies but not the books and I expected to read about clothes and such strewn about. Thinking back, the books shouldn't have been a surprise really. It's been obvious for a while that there is more to Rob than his just being a jock. I think Nelson observed quite a lot today and has a great deal to think about and figure out. Hopefully his fears can be quieted by the other three as they seem to have a really good grasp of things and know what is important. Good work Tim the Elder (looks good on you )Looking forward to the next chapter. -
Chapter 14-Poetry Prompt 4- Accountable
Reader1810 commented on Headstall's story chapter in Chapter 14-Poetry Prompt 4- Accountable
The first verse fits someone I know. She easily throws people under the bus without a second thought all the while wearing a mask to fool everyone. She once told someone that I refused to help her. Blatant lie, of course, since I didn't have the information she needed. Didn't make me any less shocked, hurt or angry, though. Unlucky for her, the person she complained to is a dear friend of mine who just said "don't worry about, we know..." -
Wyatt woke up - Yay! I think Bryan realized Wyatt doesn't hate or blame him for what MD did. That being said, it's another thing entirely that Bryan hasn't forgiven himself. He obviously bears no blame, but he feels it just the same. Even in death, MD is causing trouble. This is one instance where I think it would have been better she had lived. Then, at least Bryan would have somewhere to vent the anger and horror. I fully expect that Wyatt will set me straight and assuage his misdirected feelings of guilt. Regarding what to do about the plantation. Early on my thoughts centred on selling it and ridding it from their lives. After reading drp' comment, I got to thinking. I can't recall if it was mentioned before, but is the plantation a family legacy through Foxgrove Sr. rather than via MD's family? If yes, maybe Bryan and Eddie should keep it to honour their father since he obviously loved both his sons in equal measure? Sarah and Sgt. Woods - very sweet and it was nice that Bryan noticed and approved. But then, what's not to like? As for Darrin? Maybe he has smartened up, but I still say, don't let the door hit you on the way out! As always, nicely done CM.

Did I Ever Mention To You All That I Let Two Homeless Guys Stay Over Winter?
Reader1810 commented on W_L's blog entry in Life is worth an entry
My brother and his family live near Boston so I remember from their updates, how severe the winter was. Thank you for helping those two men. I'm sure they appreciated your kindness and generosity beyond measure. -
Tim I wish the men who did this could read your words and feel shame, but I'm also certain that would never happen. Even though you made me cry, I was heartened in the end reading your words that to me, are filled with compassion and caring.

Sounds amazing. All I can see is a hazy pink sliver of the moon due to cloud cover. Ah well, there's still time, maybe they will move away...

They are diabolical little buggers, no question about it.

Wonderfully written story Parker. I enjoyed it very much. Please keep writing

I had full blue skies earlier, but the clouds are rolling in. I hope it clears as I have a perfect view of the moon on clear nights. If you could take a photo that would be great.

Chapter 1 Michael and Me
Reader1810 commented on Mikiesboy's story chapter in Chapter 1 Michael and Me
Hey Tim: Thank you for sharing your love story. It's not a surprise, but your skills as a writer brought it to life so we could "see" it too. I wish both you and Michael the very best. -
Col's illness is still a mystery, but on the bright side, it looks as if he's found himself a real sweetheart. It would be nice to see more of these two.

Ok, so I'm glad I wasn't the only one who was confused. I remember doing the review for this the first time round. I like it just as much this time too - I'm just not going to google the lyrics again. and, I am yet again, out of likes

Chapter 42 You Can't Turn a Heart into a Diamond
Reader1810 commented on Headstall's story chapter in Chapter 42 You Can't Turn a Heart into a Diamond
I'm with Caz in that Drew and Victor very wisely and accurately reviewed chapter 42, so I will just add in a few thoughts of my own Having been through it himself, it must have been quite the deja vu moment for Kendall. I was really pleased (but not in the least bit surprised) with how well Kendall approached Nate's situation. He made it easy for Nate to feel safe and secure enough to say what's on him mind with interjects of laughter to soften the "blows" he's had to deal with. I do believe Nate when he says his father did not hit him, but that is not enough to negate everything else his father did. As for Mike, Big Mike and Colleen, they are all doers so I am sure not doing anything right now must be very difficult for all of them. I have faith in them that they will hold back anything negative as they put Nate's needs ahead of their own. I eagerly await the next chapter to find out what happens next. I will wait patiently for it's release. No nagging, I promise. As always, a wonderful chapter. Thank you Gary. -
Out of likes, so will do that later - for now  After Parker's amazing review , I'm not sure what to say. I'm just so glad it's all over and the threat (MD) is gone so that everyone can start putting all of that horridness behind them. It's going to take a lot of time and effort to heal from her machinations, but I do believe they will be able to move forward and be happy. I too like the close father-son bond that is evident between Nathan and Marc. I see Bryan, Eddie and their dad having the same sort of relationship as N and M. Quite the juxtaposition against MD, Bryan and Eddie's relationship. As always, another wonderful chapter CM. Thank you.

Love it! Reminds me of the guy (dark hair, business suit and so not my type lol) that my mind and eyes used to radar in on every morning when I used to commute by Go Train. Didn't matter if the platform was crowded, I saw him easily. There was just something about him. But I was too shy to say "hi". Thanks for the memory Tim (I haven't seen him since 2003).

Poor Ian. Sometimes I want to hug him and tell him everything is going to be okay. Other times, I want to give him a good shake and tell him to get a grip. Luckily, the former wins out more often than the latter. Keep them coming sd, Ian and Miles are delightful.

Quick and dirty you say? Um, no Sweet and romantic? Absolutely yes! So glad the plot bunny won this round
