Barter? What the heck? Nope! Chris needs to keep walking. That was a literal take on the idiom and you produce a thoughtful and interesting story.. I loved it, Val.

Ha! Loved the build up as I tried to think where this was going, and ended up fully appreciating where it led. That was brilliant and unexpected. Loved your take, Mac. Well done.

When Pigs Fly, A Lich Dies
Defiance19 commented on comicfan's story chapter in When Pigs Fly, A Lich Dies
I enjoyed this very much. It was a really great use of the idiom. Well written and captivating. Well done, Wayne. -
You should have seen me...
Defiance19 commented on Caz Pedroso's story chapter in You should have seen me...
Hehe. I loved this. Its nice to know that humans aren’t the only ones who tell tall tales too.. Nice story Caz, and like everyone else, I learnt something new about fish. -
Greedy, greedy! Cause I wouldn’t mind some more. If only to see what happens with Eric. This was wonderful, Puppi..You did a great job interpreting the idiom.

When I saw Faris and James I knew it was going to be fun, and I wasn’t disappointed... smiled and chuckled the whole way through. It was a really great way to use the idiom. Loved it, tim.

Loved the story, loved how you used the idiom. Very clever.. Great job, Northie!

This was a great piece, A. It was well written, and I loved that it was a companion piece to No regrets, and steampunk no less. Nice use of the idiom.

Papik walked dejectedly along the arctic ice. The wind was howling and blowing in cold circles around him. He stopped at the floe edge to pull his skins tighter around his body. The sudden appearance of a quallupilluit spirit in front of him sent Papik scrambling backwards; his mukluks losing purchase on the ice, landing him on his backside. “Do not be frightened, Papik,” a voice from behind him said. Papik quickly rolled to his left where he could see who had spoken, but keep his eye on

Yay!! Yeah! This was wonderful!

We need an eye roll emoji in the ‘likes’ drop down. 🙄

It’s nice to see the boys take it down a notch and finally catch their collective breaths. Anejo is the perfect spot to unwind and celebrate, but..... The jerk at the photo shoot was totally eclipsed by the ass who is Damien. Sigh!!! @BlindAmbition has it right ‘yawwwn’.And I’m done. The thing is, the majority of people who have the money to broadcast won’t even be that way. The guys dealt with it well though. I’m surprised Cristina was so quiet about it. I can’t imagine that’s attractive to her. Maybe he isn’t compensating for his small hands and sometimes you overlook shit. I guess we will learn what’s what with that relationship in time. So very recently, I had a friend pull the off to the bathroom - pay the bill trick. When the check came it was literally ✅ 😌

Great story, Dave.. Tyler missed out on what could have been so much more. I’m going to say these things happen as they should and the time apart served them well. I am glad the two reconnected and got to live their lives together. A wonderful love story.

Seee... you snooze you lose.. But seriously, admitting that he loves Jimmy is the first step. I bet he feels a whole lot better now that he’s acknowledged that. Getting Jimmy to believe the sudden turn around may prove to be harder. Jimmy may get whiplash cause I’m pretty sure he’s resigned himself to thinkingvthere is no Drake and him. I’m rooting for them though. I just went through the last 3 chapters and still I ask....is it Monday yet?

Chapter 8 Battle Fatigue
Defiance19 commented on Headstall's story chapter in Chapter 8 Battle Fatigue
So, Richard did Drake no favors by kissing him. But I still think that Drake is using their past as an excuse. I get it. I do. I’m guilty of letting my past guide my future, knowingly holding on to crap as an excuse to not get hurt. I get how convoluted and immature (when you’re aware)the thinking is, but it allows me and I dare say Drake, not to risk a thing. Trust is huge and scary. That’s a Drake issue.. he just needs to learn not to hide behind the anger and bitterness and to not project Dick on to Jimmy. He knows what Jimmy wants and Jimmy has been true to his word not pushing. If Drake wants Jimmy though, he has to take a huge step and quickly because the good guys will not wait forever... something’s got to give. -
Chapter 7 Another Man's Shoes
Defiance19 commented on Headstall's story chapter in Chapter 7 Another Man's Shoes
Whaaa! I get Richard’s explanation, and it makes sense to a certain degree. He would have had me, if not for the kiss. What the hell was that bullshit! I mean, no wonder he confused Drake. Moving along... -
So you might cringe.. The only cereal I eat is Cinnamon Toast Crunch. 🙈 But that’s if I don’t want dinner, not for breakfast.. I’ll do a protein/fiber shake with almond milk most mornings.. I add chia seeds or cashews too. Or sometimes I have a bagel with bacon, tomato and avocado...can’t resist. How’s that?

When you’ve been fighting your demons by yourself for so long, I suppose it’s hard to let someone just come in and white -knight you. There’s not enough time to have built the trust that’s needed, unless Travis just goes all in and I can’t see him doing that just yet. Maybe this medical emergency will give him perspective to maybe even consider Ben’s offer. Ben may have to find a different approach. Bite ben’s dealing with his own stuff too. It was good to see a side to Mrs C, that I didn’t expect. I do get the sense that this isn’t the first time this has happened with Travis. Also, 25 miles is a frikkin lifetime.. holy! Also, I absolutely hate the no family/no visit clause these places have. To no end. Thanks for another fantastic chapter, Mac. It is always so worth the wait.

New book! A great start C.. By now it feels like I’m coming home to these characters. The scenes and events flow so smoothly, I could easily be amongst them. Boy am I glad that the prenup mess has been ironed out. Even though it’s not mentioned directly, we can feel Owen mourning his loss. I’m glad they have the wedding to look forward to. I’m with Owen though. I miss the friends in the basement. Lol As for CJ’s kerfuffle, I actually was glad to see him readjust Karl, who was being an ass. CJ has come a long way in the anger department and has held his temper in check and dealt with situations appropriately. This was one of those times when I think it was ok, though not a wise decision, (because everyone is not going to agree on the stand/kneel issue) for you to show him getting handsy, it makes him human especially when you take all the factors into consideration. These hot button political topics make it easy to lose your head. I’m just glad it didn’t escalate. Thanks Carlos! See you next chapter..

story review Featured Story: Boy Story - The Road Taken
Defiance19 commented on Renee Stevens's blog entry in Gay Authors News
Wonderful review Puppilull! I did not comment as much, 🙈 but I followed this story from the beginning, and it’s one of my favs! It is really well written and engaging. I loved ‘seeing’ the developing relatable, and organic relationship between Matt and Parker, and the events surrounding their lives. I definitely recommend that you read it!! -
This is sad news.. Rest in perfect peace, dear moggy.. You will be missed. 🌹

April 1 through April 7
Defiance19 commented on Parker Owens's story chapter in April 1 through April 7
So much to love about each of these. They all have such texture. April 6 called to me the loudest though. Then there was April 3rd.... Great week, Parker. Look forward to next. -
TC2 - Chapter 2: Meet the Grandparents
Defiance19 commented on Brayon's story chapter in TC2 - Chapter 2: Meet the Grandparents
A great second chapter, A. You have portrayed Adam’s feelings very convincingly Robert’s too for that matter. He is handling being an overnight dad remarkably well. It will be interesting to see how he handles their first fallout because...teenagers. Lol. But because of that I think the grandparents will follow Robert’s lead. I’m glad you’re continuing this story. It’s turning out great.
