  1. Great epilogue. You gave us a window into the future, but we can imagine them all very happy. Wonderful! Thank you both for writing this!
  2. So good to see the family reassemble, reconnect and begin to regain some of what was lost. They’re not going to settle into their memories, but are looking to do things that build new memories and new connections for new lives ahead. Excellent chapter!

    Finally

Oh, what a satisfying surprise for Gail to deliver to Halsten and the rest of that scheming board. Huzzah for her and Terrence. And more cheers for Ben and Frank. Your description of Ben’s insecurity was moving and touched me. Thanks for this chapter.

    Growing Pains

The Quad Squad just had to know definitively; and now they do. Really, Georgette wasn’t so brash as she might have been, just kinda obvious. That was well written. You left the rest of us hanging, not knowing if Grant can deal with it, or go spinning off into his own void. And I wonder what Troy is saying to his friends in the meantime? I’m only hoping that Grant can recover. Troy is so good for him.
  5. I enjoyed reading this. I liked getting to know these characters.
  6. The Gang of Four seem intent on caring for Troy and testing poor Grant; will their expectations and preconceptions completely derail things? That is, if they don’t let on about what they know, first. All this sounds like a trainwreck (oops, sorry) waiting to happen.
  7. Interesting word. I knew a person with that surname.
  8. I have tried to keep an open mind about Hank. I keep trying to see events through his eyes, through the lens of his experience. With that in mind, his visceral reaction to what happened with Chase is understandable. However, my understanding is wearing thin. If Hank really wants to paint a grieving and emotionally spent Chase as a villain, then nothing anyone can say will alter that. One can only hope Chase can find someone who listens better, and Hank can find someone who can deal with his unbridled suspicions. Great chapter. More soon?
  9. A new cure for zombie-ism! I like it. And you made us feel Frank’a heartache deeply, yet he hasn’t been able to assuage it. How very crafty of you to leave us hanging by a number of threads. Together, all those threads keep us aloft, waiting for next week. But this week was excellent!
  10. Could I dare ask for the recipe? I hope your oven can be fixed.
  11. I send you hugs and peace.

    Happy Hour

Great chapter! Tension and a sharp spark of drama are perfectly described here. But what makes me think the current occupants won’t go so quietly as it appears? Looking forward to more!
  13. That’s a beautiful snapshot. Thanks for framing it for us!

    Chapter 1

I enjoyed this very much. It was a perfect tale for Valentines Day. Thank you very much.
  15. This poem is wonderful to me. I fell in step with you right away, and felt the push and pull of each stanza. Logic sometimes must take a back seat to what and how we feel, and you express that in a way that touches my heart.

    Silent Requite

Happy Thanksgiving! And let me say that this chapter made me late for work. Well done. It’s good to see Troy together with friends who love him, even if they’re already matchmaking. Poor Grant; he’s gonna have a huge headache in the morning.
  17. Poor Simon, to have overheard that conversation. If he takes time to stew over it, his heart might break. Worse still, heartbreak might make him do something truly stupid. He needs to hang on tight to Freddie and Jeff.
  18. Excellent. I very much enjoyed this.
  19. What a way to greet the day! It’s humbling to read this, and Im so grateful for those who read what I have written.
  20. Hank clearly has difficulties and issues of which we readers are unaware. Chase and Hank are the ones who need to talk most, yet they are the least likely to communicate constructively now. Hank is going to believe what he wants, and only time, reflection or other evidence will change his mind. But if that ever happens, will Chase even care? He’s finally growing, too.
  21. Wow, I’m loving this. This was a great chapter. Tears, reconciliation, developing romance, and corporate intrigue all in one installment. Of course I want more.
  22. I loved reading this. Thank you very much.

    Late Lunch

I like Vittorio Martinelli’s character already. The scene and conversation were perfect. I can picture it all, taste the food, and hear their voices. I’ll be waiting for more!
  24. I’m going to hold you to that.
  25. To me, it seems as if John’s spirit is working hard to bring Troy and Grant together. And why not? John appeared to be a great guy; if there’s a lingering spirit, why wouldn’t it delight in new love for both of them? Maybe that spirit can find a way to make that journal disappear. In the meantime, Grant has to make good on his promise: no more meddling. Why do I feel that may be harder for him than making that journal vanish?
