In spite of the mother, it was a great chapter! Thank you for creating these wonderfully realistic characters that I have come to care about! I agree with Rndmrunner, it is a credit to your writing that we care about these characters so much!

I am enjoying this back and forth between the boys. I am still having trouble distinguishing between them. However, each letter helps to make their pesonalities more clear. Thank you.

It's always nice to catch up with Declan and Bailey! You have a knack for dialogue. The teasing, the anger, the talk about yard work and prior romances all sounded genuine! I am glad Declan is having such a positive effect on Bailey. Like his mother, I am glad to see Bailey more relaxed and happy. Thanks.

Rigby Taylor has written another clever, quirky story. Part social commentary and part coming of age tale, it recounts Frankie Fey's life from being a teenager to being a young adult. This journey would be mundane for most of us. For Frankie it is one adventure after another. I don't want to give away much, but the story begins with Frankie and a school friend deciding to lose their virginity together. That leads to a death in the family, a revelation about Frankie's parentage, many adventures as Frankie discovers himself, and culminates in a trip to India for enlightenment. Along the way is a delightful collection of supporting characters with clever names. With Rigby Taylor you never know what's next. I really enjoyed this story!

I am saddened to bid adieu to Frankie and company. It has been a long, wonderfully convoluted ride! I love your sometimes snarky attitude toward society, and the way you get your characters to critique our civilization's current state of affairs while keeping it within the framework of the story. I will echo other comments by saying I hope you publish more. I enjoy reading your stories! My mind is neither young nor impressionable, so you have at least one reader who is safely able to read whatever you publish. Thanks for sharing this most enjoyable story!

Another good chapter! I really liked the time Sean and Ollie spent by the riverbank. Thanks.

As I read chapter one I realised I had read it before. When I got to chapter two, it was new to me. I am not certain why I didn't keep reading. So I binged the rest of the story through this chapter. Wow! What a great story! I'm not certain what's up with Koji, but I am hooked and will be reading until you reveal all! Your characters are all great! The dialogue is realistic, even when talking about mind reading. I can't wait to see if Koji and Andre become a couple, and I hope you will explain how Andre can block thoughts for Koji, before the story ends. Thanks.

Thanks for the explanation. I think the author's thoughts, reasoning, and background add another layer of interest for the reader.

Thanks for sharing this introspective poem. I know that drugs can affect mood and thoughts. That's why they are prescribed (or sometimes not), and why we take them. Me = antidepressants. However, I don't for a minute believe they can enhance creativity. I think your words and thoughts are your own, and how you put them together is uniquely you. So shore up that mud slide of fear and keep writing!

It's always nice to catch up with Dylan and company! I read with interest the comment by Geemeedee and your response. I am curious to know if you consulted a shifter/magic guidebook, or did you "make up" how the rules work in your shifter world? Thanks for more of this good story!

If you are in the mood for a touching story, this short story is a must read. The characters are well written, and the dialogue sounds realistic. An older gentleman makes a connection with his young paperboy that benefits them both. There is no sex in this story. If that's what you're looking for it's not here. But if you're looking for pleasurable reading with maybe a tear near the end, this is the right story for you.

I am trying to come up with an adjective that is not beautiful. It has been used enough for this story. It was tender and touching. and sweet in the best way! Your writing really captured Alan and Colin. They seemed real, and I felt like I knew them by the end of this short story. I liked the way you ended things with the possibility that going forward Alan, Colin, and Jake may develop a friendship (surrogate grandfather?). And I must admit I was a little weepy at the end. Well written! Thank you.

It was nice to catch up with Trick and Cody! I went back to chapter one and skimmed the story. The last couple of chapters I read carefully to be caught up. This story was just as much fun the second time! So Trick's app is a hit, and Mason is about to hit on Angela. That should prove interesting. I am looking forward to more. Thank you!

I think the part you both are missing is the fact that this is a gay romance. I don't think it has to make sense. 😄 Besides when are love and/or lust rational.
-
I am glad lust took over for thinking! Seems like they were both on the same page, but didn't know it or wouldn't admit it. And what a hot moment it was! As I often say at the end of a chapter, I can't wait to see what's next! Thanks.

The penpal idea is working for me. A lot of the boys' personalities come through in their letter writing, and that is thanks to you and your writing! As the boys learn more about each other we are also learning more about them. I'll use that sometimes overused analogy of peeling away layers of an onion. I hope by the end of the story, or maybe sooner, they get to meet each other. Thanks.
-
Clever start! Thank you. Since I'm a bit behind I'll read on to catch up.

Great sheep analogy at the end of the story, although "pull the wool over my eyes" was a bit of a groaner! 😄 I am glad they talked to Kyle. They got some more information and maybe a bit of closure. It did make me feel a little sorry for Kyle. From what I have read, being a gay child/teen without any support makes life beyond hard. Still no reason to hurt others. Thanks for more of this good story.

I always cry at weddings! Well written and classic CJ! Their vows were great, and CJ's ad libs were fun! A special moment was the ring pillow made from Liz's scarf. Bonus points for having the Obamas "sneak" in at the back. The big moment is finally here, and you did not disappoint. Thank you.

Finally caught up, and now I need to be patient for the next chapter. I am really enjoying this story! Thank you.

I guess after seven chapters it is time for a comment. I am really enjoying this story! It seems like you keep revealing things bit by bit. I hope we will be visiting the Indian woman again. I am curious to see how her story overlaps or connects to Cory and Terry. I also wonder if we will meet Sallie, or if she will just be mentioned like has happened so far. Thanks for sharing. I hope to be caught up soon.

It is nice to catch up with Mike, Eric, and Chet. I was pleasantly surprised Chet's visit with Grandma and Grandpa went as well as it did. I think having Avi and Eli there helped. I am amazed at Mike's patience while talking to Chet about his grandparents. Your descriptions of Christmas at the hotel were great! I could easily picture it all. I can't wait for California! Thanks.

What a wonderful moment between Artie and Adam! Your writing did so much to convey the fear and the love. It was great that they were able to open up to each other and strengthen their bond. I loved the doughnut shop and the zoo! What a fun day for Artie and Dizzy! Thanks.

So Diego is finally the champion with Lance's help. It will be interesting to see where things go from here. And what is next for Sean? Interesting that you took us back to see Rachel as a child. I have no clue why, but I'm certain we will find out. It certainly brings up several questions. Being a closet wrestling fan (mostly when I was younger), I am really enjoying this story. Thanks.

Your writing really captures the separation anxiety Connor is feeling and his nervousness over the upcoming date. It is funny how he seems to be way more worried about the sleep over than Leon is. Typical of a new parent. Thanks for more of this most enjoyable story.
