    See It

Typing is not writing. i loved that part! If only it were. Writing is weaving and chemistry. You need a solid foundation when you mix things up so that they do not blow up in your face. i couldn't write during the worst of covid and lockdown. Instead i took up knitting and added crochet to that as well. It helped me create things i could see when i couldn't get anything from the writer inside of me. i needed to do something. i still knit and crochet but i'm writing again and it all feels really good. Thank you for another excellent article.
  3. Not heard of that as of yet. you take care too, rick!
  4. hugs.. don't be sorry ... life goes on and sometimes we can't be here xoxoxo
  5. Michael had that done for His frozen shoulders. It was done by his physiotherapist here. In his case it didn't do anything. Time only helped that. But i know lots of people say acupuncture helps them. I figure it's unlikely to kill you, so i'd try that too.
  6. me too. But you made me curious so i found this: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/20642715/ Which belongs to your Government. i know people swear by them but you'd never get me to one. License to print money as far as i'm concerned, but that's my own opinion. This about spinal manipulation not sure that include the neck thing. No thanks. This is from that site: Objective: The aim of this study was to summarise all cases in which chiropractic spinal manipulation was followed by death. Design: This study is a systematic review of case reports. Methods: Literature searches in four electronic databases with no restrictions of time or language. Main outcome measure: Death. Results: Twenty six fatalities were published in the medical literature and many more might have remained unpublished. The alleged pathology usually was a vascular accident involving the dissection of a vertebral artery. Conclusion: Numerous deaths have occurred after chiropractic manipulations. The risks of this treatment by far outweigh its benefit.
  7. Sounds wonderful. Have a great time away!!
  8. i didn't think you were blaming us. i mean so many countries are having this issue and we sort live on a round planet so stuff is bound to move around, like volcanic ash and smoke and pollution. We are safe here it's just weird to smell wood smoke on some of the worse days. And the trees and wildlife, well they may be in Canada but their loss affects the world, not just us. Loss of so many trees from anywhere affects us all. Each country does not have is own supply of water and air no matter what some people may think. Screwing it up, affects all life on earth. sorry.. now off soapbox. i hope you are doing well too xo
  9. The smoke has been bad here in TO the last few days. i hope for no tornados for you! Take care.
  10. i hope you all have a nice evening together
  11. I mostly agree with this, except you can travel to the Village of Happiness, which is in South Africa or the town of Happy in Texas. Hope your day is passing peacefully.
  12. Make one without the crust... or use an oat or nut crust .. but you can make it without crust to lower the calories and get all the lemony meringue flavour. Or make Sasha's lemon bars for good but still pretty healthy. That's what i do with pumpkin pie. Really it's a pumpkin custard if you make it crustless. And we still have some whipped cream for those who want it. I don't, not on PP. But i'll put it on coffee!
  13. Thanks for sharing this. It's wonderful!
  14. All those are true. Not so sure about the monday thing! lol i remember once i had a difficult customer.. Trevor said, get up for five minutes, walk around. Then smile for the next one. He worked the floor, he knows what it's like. hope you felt in control amid all the chaos work can be. xoxo
  15. Remember cooking is an art, but baking is science! Have a lovely day. xoxo
  16. okay.. yeah, here are my thoughts. Unless I'm really positive i am right, i usually follow the recipe as is the first time around. With oatmeal bases or cookies, mix them up and then give them ten minutes or so to firm up, and then put it in the pan or form them (if cookies). It gives the oats time to soak up moisture and thicken a bit. It's easier to handle. With Sasha's pumpkin loaf, i make it, put it in the pan and then let it sit while the oven heats up. Things seem to bake better that way, at least for me. If you buy oat flour, then you have very fine flour. If you want to make your own you can in a food processor, which is what i used to do. I now use my blender, which gives me very fine flour much much closer to what you can buy. i use walmart's one kg bag of quick oats which is under $3. Regarding eggs, i just use 5 large eggs which i get from metro. Their Selection ones. Nothing special. Using extra large will give you more liquid than the recipe requires. Not sure in this case it would matter. It will affect the baking time and flavour somewhat.
  17. i've been making flourless peanut butter cookies lately.. simple and quick to make.
  18. it does change with what you choose .. coconut oil is suggested for health benefits.. but i wouldn't run out and buy coconut oil if you have butter. My personal opinion is butter is better for baking or BBB for short..lol
  19. Ohhhhh, that sounds like fun!! Have a great time and congrats to the happy couple!
  20. Yes, i use butter. I have used coconut oil as i have this giant jar of it. Mostly I use this for popcorn but i have cooked/baked with it too. It smells amazing!
