  1. Thanks, Myr. I just flipped the switch on it.

    Wanderer II

The strider cat moved swiftly through the foliage of the forest, in hot pursuit of its prey. It quickly caught up to the deer, a six-point buck, and tackled it with a firm bite to the back of its neck. The snap of the spinal column was swift and ended the pain and life of the conquered animal swiftly. “Good girl, Sasha,” Rune praised, as he walked up to the fresh kill. He made sure the animal was dead, as he set about the gruesome work of field dressing the buck. “What are we going to do
  3. I found a bug with Unpublished Chapters. I posted one today to my prompts, that I was going to flip the switch on after I made sure it formatted correctly. But, it went to the chapter page, with the story blank and an orange bar across the center. Here's a screenshot.

    Chapter 11

The plan is coming together. You're keeping the suspense going just fine, and it's been an interesting route to get to here. I can't wait to see if the plan works.
  5. Aside from the Abrams Star Trek and the Kelvin Timeline (Chris Pine is a much better James Kirk than William Shitnar ever was), TNG and DS9 were my two favorites. Voyager had promise, but it was basically a ripoff of several other stories, including a couple of Mangas. Enterprise and STD shouldn't even be called Star Trek.
  6. Wow, that was an awesome twist at the end. Great story, tim. It was excellent.
  7. That's my feeling as well on writing prologues. I did a separate thread for us writers in the writing club, to discuss this thread, and prologues in general.
  8. Happened frequently with the Games Servers I volunteered on. Nothing more annoying that someone demanding something gets fixed RIGHT NOW, when they are playing for free, and the staff is all volunteers.
  9. Thanks, Myr. Don't mean to add more to your plate with this.
  10. Doing a project for my Psych course, and came across this Scientific Study: Genome-Wide Association Study of Male Sexual Orientation It's a very technical journal piece, but it does prove that Gay Men are genetically different from Heterosexual men. ____ Sanders, A. The Forest

Interesting chapter. Left me wanting to find out what Toby and Justin were, and the whole "chosen" aspect.
  12. @Myr I've been looking for a way to break a series apart. I can't find a way to do it. I remember you mentioning an X next to the Up and Down Arrows, but it seems to be missing. Here's a Screenshot of one of my series.
  13. I have a world that some of my stories share. Two are short stories that are linked into a series, and one is a stand alone. Now to play with the system. 🙂
  14. Thanks, Myr for letting us know about this new add-on.

    Chapter 10

Perhaps more so, with a level of crystal in their bodies (assumption based on the talk in this chapter). Some crystals have been used in focusing energy.

    Chapter 10

Excellent chapter. I love the plan they came up with, but as they say, "Plans never last last the first encounter." I just hope the boys have a backup plan, in case the first goes south. I can see you did a lot of research on dynamite and blast radius. And that you've put thought into your characters, and how they would react. Great job!
  17. And XXL and 2XLT run about $30 a pop... Slightly less than the XXXL that I get, at $35 - $45.
  18. I totally missed this post yesterday. I blame being up for over 48 hours. That is friggin cool! They found an optimal planet in the same star system that Roddenberry used for Vulcan... If they don't name it Vulcan, they would have missed huge chance to be a huge geek!

    Chapter 1

I hear ya. I get a little long-wind at times as well. The most I've done in a chapter is 8000 words, it's not posted yet, but will be as soon as I get it back from my editor.

    Chapter 1

    Next on the list. 🙂
  21. Awesome, Myr! Now to make a banner that doesn't suck.
  22. A very intriguing story about two gay teens, who make an amazing discovery. The characters feel real, the story flowed, and I didn't spot any errors. My only criticism is the story is long for one chapter. That makes it hard to read when you can't do it in one sitting. Aside from that, a most excellent story.

    Chapter 1

I read this story because I like SciFi, and I've enjoyed your Z is for Zombie. This story was fantastic. I loved the interaction between Derry and Cally, it felt natural. Excellent.

    Chapter 9

We know it can throw a spear hard enough to rattle the walls, so I see it having no issues getting up there. Especially if they leave the truck close to the silo. We just saw it using stealth in order to get to the hatch and trying to pry it open. EDIT: Stealthy climb on the truck, and break in.

    Chapter 9

Another excellent chapter. I'm liking the interaction between the boys, but I say that almost everytime. It feels real, so great job on that. Bennie did a great job in detecting the noise, but I agree that they need a better security system. It seems to me, the weakest point of entry into the camp is the windows. After seeing the Zombie showing signs of trying to come in the front door, and getting burn for it, I can see it trying a window. Also, the fact the Zombie was moving at the buttcrack of dawn when the sun wasn't up fully shows that they are early risers.
