A two chapter story of how my farmhand Luke came here to my farm.

This is the story of the trials and troubles of Johnnie, born Edward John Lester in Scotland, in 1842

Although he came from a poor background, with the assistance of a wealthy uncle, Johnnie was able to complete his education and university studies to become a doctor, only to be falsely accused of housebreaking and larceny, and he is sentenced to transportation to the Swan Colony in Australia.

Chris and Luke were in love. Their families were as close as two families could be and they were all delighted about the fact that they were drawn even closer by that love. Even when they went to different universities they stayed as close as ever. They thought they were going to be together forever. Their families thought they woud be together forever. Their friends thought they were going to be together forever. But sometimes life can be a bitch.

Fear and pain surround Wes. His journey is witnessed and shared by the one person who will never give up on him. He just has to take that first step.
