Life has been very hard for me these past few months, with the Covid Virus quickly spreading around the world, which had resulted in the shutting down of a lot of businesses due to quarantine restrictions, and which resulted in me loosing me job and soon after my rental home of the past four years. Although I was single, gay and have no close family, with my parents killed in a train crash while on holidays when I was seventeen, and my two older siblings, Melissa and Trenton, not wanting to know me because of my sexuality, but I had managed to complete my high school education with high grades.

Life was going great, well I thought it was until one late Autumn afternoon, I received a phone call from my ex-wife, who informed me that our only child, 12-year Jonah Hunter Langston, had run away from home, after being forced to admit that he was gay, to his mother and step-father. It took me a good twenty minutes of arguing over the telephone to get most of the information out of Karen on what had happened, what shocked me the most was that this has happened over a week ago, and she was only just now starting to worry, after presuming that Jonah had gone to stay with friends for a while.

With a large family, and very little income, Edwin and Archie are sent to Australia to start a new life, with just some belongings, a small amount of stock, and a very small amount of money.

When the ship lands at Ceduna in South Australia, the brothers manage to buy a farm, some food, basic supplies, a horse and wagon, and they head off on their new life.

Paternity is the twelfth story in the CAP Saga. The story takes place in 2000, with Wade Danfield and Will Schluter as our primary narrators. Charlie Hughes encounters an old friend who has four children, but there's something going on with this family. After taking the oldest boy shopping and buying him an expensive watch Charlie is called in the middle of the night because the boy is being kicked out. When Charlie goes to the family home he discovers the boy and been beaten, whipped, raped, and one of his arms is broken. Charlie takes the boy into his home and all hell is loosed on his life.
