I have had a very unusual life, which started from the moment I was born and named Sebastian Mitchell Amos Grantly in Douglas, on the Isle of Man, UK. Things dramatically changed when just before Christmas and at nearly six years old, my mother and I flew to Hobart, Tasmania, Australia, where my name officially became Mitchell Amos Grant, at first, I had no idea why.

Monsters have banded together and overthrown the most powerful governments in the world. Infrastructure crumbled, and the world was torn apart by war. Tristan Langster and his two brothers are among the many young people trying to survive in a dangerous world. Meadowbrooks was the kind of town you dreamed of escaping from. Conservative, redneck and anti anything progressive. Bryan had an escape plan though. Follow his parents wishes for one more year and they would pay for his freedom. It was working out well so far. He had friends. He had a job. He was just biding his time but he didn't plan on being the one thing this town hated most: Gay. Could he keep his secret long enough to get out of Meadowbrook? Would his friends still stick by his side if they knew? Would he be able to hide his feelings for Rob? Would things be any different out there in the "real" world?
