This is the first part of a two parter short story i wrote recently. The tale is based on a dream I had as a young man. Its set in the none to distant future, the world is in turmoil and the UK has been invaded.

Benjamin Connor’s rise to fame hardly surprised anyone, not even himself. He thrives in the spotlight and enjoys his work as an actor, but his world is turned topsy-turvy when he meets Mark, an unknown musician from Camden. As their relationship blossoms, Ben must decide whether to face the bigotry of Hollywood or keep his odd, interesting, gorgeous little punk a secret for the sake of his career. And for how long can such a high-profile individual keep a secret anyway?

Will Vincent, schoolteacher, exits the closet and finds it leads him to very strange places, for almost out of the door he encounters the beautiful Oskar, cynic and porn star, who is not at all what he seems.

Can you imagine the future when you are thirteen years old? When you’ve lost everything? From the ruins of war in a bombed out town in Syria; the desperation of refugee camps; and slum cities in Turkey, the paramount goal is safety and the impossible: Europe. This story is of our time and does not shy away from harsh reality. There is abuse, exploitation, huge risk, suffering and pain, but there is also romance and a few good souls.

Juha is enjoying his quiet summer in the Finnish countryside when an attractive American appears. Adam is of Finnish descent and has come to learn about his roots. So Juha teaches him about sauna, and Adam teaches Juha something even more valuable.

This is a story I wrote in 2019. However, in the light of present circumstances I felt it was necessary to re-write it, placing the spotlight on an especially vulnerable group in a country and a people that was plunged into vulnerability as a whole by brutal aggression.

It is actually a fast shot from the hip, re-written in the heath of anger and frustration, and it may contain some mistakes, since it is only very scarcely edited. If so, I sincerely apologize for them.

Two Sami boys, living in a small town in the extreme north of Norway, become friends while in primary school. They remain friends for years, but both discover, independently from each other, that they possess a trait, that will never be accepted by their people. But that is unacceptable for them. Which only meant, that the fight is on!

No, I'm not writing that fast. Actually, this story was planned to publish around this date, until I spontaneously decided to put "Pedik Russkiy" on line first. Since I've worked ahead I plan 1 part per week.
