So my friend's had a secret for a while - and I've just found out. All thanks to me paying him an unexpected visit and a pair of ladies shoes. He's a drag artiste. He's darned good at it too. I even ended up being bribed into being his quick-change dresser at the first of his gigs I went to!

After a close friend of Mark's clues him in on the secret of underground vampire clubs in the city of Chicago, he finds himself invited into a world of late night parties and reckless abandon. But, despite being surrounded by creatures that feast on human blood to survive...it is the insatiable desire for the love of Mark's number one 'party boy' that frightens him most.

In an alternate reality where the world has superheroes, a boy discovers another reason to love his heroes and also finds a new chance at life.

Erik is at home when he discovers something under the bed that reminds him of the one he loves.

This story was written as an addition to the Sanitaria Springs series of stories. Those are stories written by Dabeagle and other authors who he invited to contribute. They are about events in the lives of several teen boys who live in the fictional town of Sanitaria Springs in New York State. The stories are interwoven and this particular story picks up on a character first met in a story titled 'Without A Trace.'

I do not think it is essential to read that story before reading this tale as I believe there is sufficient 'back story' here to enable this one to stand alone, but feel free to do so.
