Timmy's Journal - 26. Poetry Prompt 8 - Quatrains

You have pegged my feelings and experiences exactly. Perfect quatraining for a wintry day!

Nice depictions of the feelings and sights of winter... cheers... Gary...

So on point tim! Can't say much as you depict season perfectly... Can't wait for the grace of spring.. Loved that line, after the harshness of winter.

Great job!

Your poems dragged me to see all the flips and flaps that spring brings. I haven't seen these until, 'cause I am not a morning person.

Well, being a quart polar bear I actually like the snow. But I can relate to your poems nonetheless, since even I eventually long for spring. There's only so much cold a person can take...

You keep this up, you just might make me look at poetry and not run away in the opposite direction.

You just have so much talent to express with elegance every single aspect of life. Love reading your poetry!

I think these are beautiful poems. You've really married the two halves of the prompt challenge wonderfully by making the second one - the emotional one - about the hope for spring.

You are a true artist, and it shows here. Thanks for posting them!

Hi Parker, thank you, but a certain poetry forum master took me aside and said they dont flow as well as they could. Which is true I think ... but thank you glad they worked for you.

Oh AC thank you. Flow needs work, as we discussed and I agree it does. Thank you though I appreciate all of your help.. next time maybe I should plunk them into the forum first.. tim

Hi Puppilull, quart polar bear.. nice! Oh I'm always cold anyway, my husband runs around in a t shirt and shorts cuz he's warm and I'm in two layers plus blankets ... so going out in it, doesn't appeal. But I'm glad these worked for you. Flow isnt where it could be though.. gotta work on that. Thank you for reading and you comments... tim

Thank you Def! Oh man I've had enough already. I wish I could work from home... I hate winter so much. But lets hope for an early spring so then I can whine about how hot summer is!! Thanks again for your comments... tim

"Spring brings her graces". That phrase is a lovely way to way express in words all the wonders we have to look forward to...a reward for "surviving" winter.

Hi Reader! Good for you for braving the white and cold world! I hate winter so much. Maybe I can convince Michael to move .. though I dont know where to. I wish they'd clean their sidewalks, but our super is as bad. He doesn't clean until is stop snowing ...see the issue there.. it's only a massive apartment with hundreds of people .. I hope someone sues em. Anyway! Thank you and I'm glad these worked for your. Appreciate your comments ...

In only a few lines you painted winter so clear it made me shiver, while sitting in a warm room. That should say something about your accomplishment.
The personal reflection in the second one is also spot on.
Where you live snow must be a yearly occurance that you come to see as maybe inconvenient, but part of life. Here not every winter has snow, so for me it still is someting special.
I very much enjoyed them and they were exactly as the prompt requested.

Thank you Peter. Winter here would be weird without snow. We didnt get much before Christmas this year, which frankly was nice. We've had some in early January and I'm sure we'll get more! But we are getting less now.. when I was younger... tons of it. Thanks for your comments and for reviewing these, I really appreciate it!
