Lux's Indulgences - 6. Nowhere Now

Hey, lux... I don't know what you intended, but I envisioned someone lost, but still driving, however aimlessly for the moment, showing some faith, however uncertain it is. Powerful... G

Feels like life and relationships to me ... we think we are in control, but how can we be? At some point we recognize the flow is the only way to go.

Your return to the first stanza - and it is so very powerful - amplifies the emotion in this poem. The loneliness and endlessness of nighttime starlit driving makes for a perfect metaphor. You hit on it so naturally, it hurts. Many thanks for sharing this poem!

Sometimes we just plow on, don't we?

Second thoughts, third thoughts, any thoughts seem to point us the way, but then reality sometimes shines its unrelenting light on our life.

Powerful stuff there, Lux, because in some ways it affects us all.

Yeah, we aren't always a corps of engineers with tons of money to spend redirecting a river...
