Cernunnos - 27. Chapter 27

Every skin cell tingled on Cyn’s body. I’m his! He felt Shea’s arm tighten around his stomach and the warm hand rising to his chest. The hot breath pouring on his neck forced Cyn’s to remain in his chest. Try as he might, he couldn’t muster the air or bravery to speak his boyfriend’s name.

Shea’s eyes darted across Cyn’s body with a newfound lust. His skin is so smooth. Just touching the shirtless man in front of him heightened the lycan’s breathing, “Cyn, you feel so good.” He lowered his hand to Cyn's waist and gently gripped it. Hearing his man's barely audible breaths excited the wolf, "Roll over, little man. I want to kiss you."

Cyn was released from Shea's grasp as the deer turned to lay on his other side, facing the lycan. Inhaling, Cyn's nose was filled with Shea's natural black pepper scent, but he caught the lust-ridden eyes. He's looking at me...like he wants something, and I think...it's me! His thoughts became true as Shea closed the gap and landed his lips on Cyn's. Like the hands, Cyn was raptured by the warm and soft pressure. The lycan's mouth parted, forcing the buck's to follow in the movement.

The bodies pressed against each other and hands wandered. Shea's journeyed along the deer's back and waist as Cyn's found a home throughout the wolf's sparsely-furred chest. Is...this what's like to be mated by a lycan? This...is nice. His backside was gripped and pulled towards Shea. Cyn felt a firm prod against his groin, causing him to suck the air from the unyielding mouth, "Sh-Sheamus!"

Hearing his name spoken in ecstacy, Shea growled as he released his man and gripped Cyn's waist to lay him on his back. Following the move, the lycan propped himself on his hands and knees, towering over the slender body. Look at him underneath me. So pure, so innocent. He’s right where he belongs. He connected his mouth once more with Cyn's as he desired more from the buck. Parting his lips, he gently brushed his tongue against the other, receiving another inhalation that took his breath away.

Cyn couldn't take his eyes away from Shea's. He saw from his peripherals the looming body on top of his. A large force pushed his knees away from each other, "You feel so perfect under me, Cyn. You make me want to take you right here and now."

Y-yes! With his breath quickening, the deer knew from his heart he wanted nothing more. I want...I want to be his. "Sheamus, I...want it." Watching Shea lean up, he knew the statement meant more than words. Swallowing his built up saliva, Cyn felt his words come from deep inside his body, "I want...to be yours."

Shea widened his eyes. He was floored! He wants to be my mate! The lycan already solidified his intentions, but he was not expecting the cernunnos to share them. "Cyn, you know what you're asking for, right? I mean, I want you to be my mate, but I wasn't ready to do all of that tonight. Are...are you sure?"

All of that? The lycan's intentions became a mystery to Cyn, "That...that's what this is, right? You were wanting to mate with me?"

A gentle smile came to Shea's lips. Right, mentality of a deer with little human knowledge. "I'm going to make you mine soon. But not tonight. I want to explore your body, Cyn. Mating with lycankind is a little more...drawn-out than what you're thinking of." Leaning back down, Shea's lustfully whispered in Cyn's ear, "Make no mistake, I will be making you mine soon. Until then, I'm going to treasure every inch of you." He licked the tiny amount of skin behind the buck's ear, "I'm going to make you scream my name in pleasure.”

The balmy and moist sensation shook Cyn to his core. Sheamus...licked me. Fighting for mental stability, he was once again distracted by Shea’s mouth as the lips enclosed over his ear lobe. Cyn shivered as he felt the lycan’s tongue swirl over the small area and felt conflicted in his emotions. It...feels so good, but why does it? His thoughts were disturbed once again as Cyn felt a squeeze on his ear lobe in between two hard surfaces. He’s...he’s… “Sheamus!” Compelling his body to move, the deer scooted his body away from Shea’s grasp. His back hit the headboard as he stared at the confused brown eyes.

“Cyn? What’s going on? Are you okay?” The wolf didn’t dare move. I scared him somehow! I can smell the fear pouring out of his body.

“You...were going to…” Tears welled under Cyn’s eyes as he tried to handle the overwhelming sense of betrayal, “You were going to eat me.”

Shea’s heart plummeted. It continued to fall as he realized what his betrothed was thinking. Oh, my God. No...no, no! “Cyn, I-I wasn’t.” His words fell to the softest whisper Shea could muster, “I would never do such a thing. I wanted to make you feel good. I’m so sorry for not telling you what I was going to do.” Instinctively, Shea inched himself away from the cernunnos and crossed his legs in a seated position, “I only nibbled on you because I thought it would give you pleasure.”

Cyn swallowed and instantly knew the lycan was telling the truth. It...it did feel nice, and Sheamus looks very sad. He...looks like he’s about to cry! Leaning forward, the deer climbed back further into bed, getting closer to Shea. He’s been by my side since the attack. It doesn’t make sense for him to try to eat me now. He...he was doing that out of love? I know domesticated dogs like to lick, so is it the same thing? “It’s okay, Sheamus. I-I understand.” Seeing the lycan’s frown starting to lift, Cyn moved closer and kneeled, placing himself face to face with Shea, “I know you wouldn’t do something so...wrong. My instincts took over and I thought I needed to get away.” He gently landed his palm on top of the trembling balled fist, “I...I love you, and I know you love me so that means you wouldn’t hurt me.”

Shea swam in his own emotions. Every ounce of rage for his actions were washed away as the soft hand covered his fist. He forgave me! Looking deep into the glistening brown irises from the peeking moonlight, Shea knew the dull throb in his soul was begging to be released, “I love you so much, Cyn.” In a flash, the larger man put his hands on the buck’s face. After a smoldering kiss, Shea let himself down on his back and ushered Cyn to lay against his chest. I want him close. He tirelessly watched until the buck’s breathing steadied and whispered snores echoed in the dark room. Minutes went by and Shea’s eyelids gave in to the desire to sleep.

***

A soft motion woke Cyn from his slumber. Darting his eyes to the nearby window, he saw the sun was beginning to rise. Despite laying on the most comfortable material he’s ever felt, Cyn was not accustomed to sleeping with another individual. He somnolently blinked and raised his head. The large body was inches away, but an arm still had its hold. Sheamus still has my waist. Missing the close proximity to the man, Cyn scooted himself back towards the heated body. In his slumber, Shea knew to latch on. The hulking arm had it’s target and wanted more.

Cyn’s drowsiness ended when he was, once again, prodded by a firm rod. This time, the object brushed in between his rear cheeks. Is...is that- His thoughts were interrupted as the pressure behind him grew and operated in a circular motion.

A murmured growl escaped Shea’s lips, “Mine.” With the object pressing against Cyn’s clothed hindquarters, the deer relished in the fact the lycan wanted him. Resting his head in front of Shea’s, the buck was startled when the wolf grunted and released a yawn, “Cyn? You...you awake?”

The buck hummed his acknowledgement as he felt the rumble of Shea’s chest against his back, “Yeah. Did you sleep well?”

Shea tightened his arm around the half-naked body in front of him and curled a wicked smile with his eyes closed, “Like a baby. You?”

“It was okay. I’m not used to this bed thing, but it was nice to be with you.”

The gentle and soft spoken voice was music to the lycan’s ears. I guess sleeping in a bed is very different from sleeping on the ground outside. It’s just something he has to get used to, preferably in my bed though. “It’ll get better. It was amazing to hold you.” Shea laid in comfort for a few more seconds until he realized where his manhood was resting. It’s...it’s… “Cyn, are...are you okay with...this?”

“Okay with what?”

Jesus, he’s so innocent! “Umm, with where my...you-know-what is.”

His what? After a moment’s thought, Cyn deduced Shea’s vocabulary, “Do you mean your penis?”

Floored by his boyfriend’s obliviousness, Shea couldn’t help but chuckle, “Yeah, that.” He is so forward! “If you’re not, I can roll over.”

“No, I like it.” The deer’s statement forced Shea’s eyes wide open, “It lets me know that you want me.”

The wolf’s breathing faltered. I want him more than anything! It...it just seems like a lot to mate him now. Hell, even Jaime and Kara held out for a couple months before pulling the trigger. “Cyn, do you really want to mate...with me?”

Cyn leaned his head to the side, but couldn’t crane it far enough to see Shea. Abandoning Shea’s horn, the deer rolled to his other side to face the wolf, “I do, but I thought you said you wanted to wait?”

“I do want to wait. I feel like we barely know each other, and we’re still learning about our cultures. I...just can’t shake the feeling that I’m meant to be with you.” Scooting forward, Shea closed the distance and his eyelids flashed open as he felt Cyn’s member press against his thigh. Well, at least I know he feels the same way! “Come here, lay with me. We don’t have to get up for another hour or so.”

With Cyn resting his head on Shea’s chest, the two whispered to each other, enjoying the vast silence surrounding them. The deer lifted his head as he heard a hushed sound. It’s...getting louder. “Sheamus, do you hear that?”

Raising his head from the pillow, Shea remained silent, determined to pinpoint his man’s question. In a moment’s notice, he confirmed the sound. Oh, for the love of-

The silence faded as the couple listened to the antics from two doors down. Shea shook his head and drowned out his teammates’ interest in one another. Come on, in the Alpha’s house? I mean, I was tempted to, but they’re...they’re actually doing it! Doing his best to zone out, the lycan turned his attention back to Cyn. The cernunnos had his head raised and possessed a baffled face. He’s not listening to them, is he? Uh-uh. Nope, we’re getting out of here. Shea raised a finger to his lips, catching Cyn’s attention. Barely letting words leave his throat, the lycan whispered, “Let’s go for a walk outside.”

Cyn was mystified by the noise of his new friends’ but nodded nevertheless. The duo silently slipped on fresh clothes and grabbed their jackets. Leaving their room, they passed the spare guest room and its elevating noises. Shea grumbled while Cyn continued to own a puzzled mentality. As they tied their shoes and left through the front door, the deer’s curiosity could no longer be held back, “Sheamus? Are...were they?”

“Yes...yes they were.” Looking down at his cernunnos, Shea spotted the bewildered face, “I can’t believe they’re doing that in Arric’s manor. That’ll be more title-worthy than being a member of the mile-high club.”

Ignoring the confusing sentence from his boyfriend, Cyn tried his best to wrap his mind around the concept, “Do...do lycans usually take that long?”

I’m sorry, what? Shea grasped the question’s meaning but felt the need to ask, “What do you mean?”

Cyn furrowed his brow, “I don’t know much about lycan, but I’ve seen several deer matings. It...it’s a lot shorter than that. At the longest, I would say it lasts several seconds.”

Blinking wildly, Shea couldn’t believe what he was hearing. Several...seconds? Does...is he talking about actual deer matings? “Cyn, I…” Stammering, Shea decided to latch on to Cyn’s hand and begin walking slowly. Well, this just got awkward. I didn’t think this herd mentality stuff would also lead to a sex talk! “I don’t think it’s just lycan. All shapeshifters that can turn human typically prefer to mate in their human forms. It...well, I’m going to be pretty blunt. It lasts a lot longer and feels a lot better than doing it in your beast’s form.”

“Really?” Relief washed over Cyn and gripped Shea’s hand tighter, “So, it’s...going to feel good?”

It was Shea’s turn to hold a confused face, “Y-yeah. Did you think it wasn’t going to?”

“I was told it...it hurts. There was a herd I traveled with in Missouri, and I talked with another cernunnos, a female. We got along fine, but when I asked about matings and how it felt, she told me.” Cyn shivered at the thought, but voiced his story, “She told me it was quick, but the...the pain was a lot to handle.”

Shea halted his movement at the start of the trail in the backyard. I will not have Cyn hold that thought in his head! “Listen, Cyn. When I mate with you, we will do it as we are right now. I want to give you the most intense and pleasurable moment of your life.” Pulling the deer closer, Shea felt his lust inch forward and let loose the lightest growl, “The first time is sometimes the hardest, but it will not be as your cernunnos friend said. I’ll make damn sure of that.”

As the two walked, Shea treasured every second of holding Cyn’s hand. It’s such a gentle hold, and his skin is so soft. Memories of holding the buck mere hours ago took over in the lycan’s mind. I’m going to need to do that again, and soon! I wonder if Alpha could spare me for a while today. With dreams for the day in thought, Shea began plotting the things we wished to do with his little cernunnos.

Looking back, I find it disturbing how much research I've done involving deer in every aspect of their species. I come from a small hick-town that is obsessed with deer season, and it took me writing a romance to finally be interested in deer. Cyn, despite being a human for a sizable chunk of his life, is more deer than shapeshifter. Learning to love as a human is truly this man's challenge.

I mean... do we really need these two in their beast form for all that? Could you imagine a human hunter seeing that? I'm not sure I would believe it, and I'm not even sure if that needs to be written... :gikkle:

Listen here, I did my research. Deer are expert Olympians in this sport.

Well... he's never had his ears nibbled before. Nibble = eat. I think, at least in Cyn's case, it's a natural response.

I would like to note for the record that I will be throwing a werewolf and a Cervidas together in one of my stories for science and totally not because of any bizarre furry kink...
In other words, I'll be the one writing that...

Aw, poor guys. Cock blocked — er, cock bucked? — by a nibble. Good thing it was only Cyn’s earlobe and not a nipple or Sheamus may have had to coax him out from under the bed.

As much as I’m looking forward to their bump and grind, I’m glad they waited. Their first time should be special, not some quickie while the Tracking Twosome wagged their tails down the hall. I’m confident Sheamus will pull out all the stops and truly show Cyn the meaning of romance.

Insomnia and I have a love/hate relationship. She's welcome when I want to get some work done, but she leaves a hangover-esque feeling that won't go away! I'm getting close to finishing the next chapter, but a lot has been happening behind the curtain recently. Patch, of course you are unanimous, but I wouldn't say I'm a perfect author. Once this thing is done, I'll be taking a weed-wacker and trimming out some minor issues. Now go get some sleep! We don't want you to miss chapter 28 when it comes out. :gikkle:

Ha! Your quote of Mrsgnomie, above, is perfect and leads right to my own. I’m so pleased we’re drawing closer to redefining what being “eaten” means to Cyn. You go Shea!

Begs the question if Cyn's going to be bleating in fear or in ecstacy when Shea takes him to Pound Town. $5 says Cyn's not the silent type in bed...
